Not so much learning new tricks, but getting ten times sicker at setting up my own jumps/jibs at home

today I turned a hot water tank into an options feature: Hit it slow and its a tranny, hit it fast and its an insane kicker

yeah our mountain was still blowing snow for the park but we had a great starter set up. the best part was a like black water tube. one of the ridged ones. My friends and i went to work on it

270's on are a good trick to add to the bag. so many variations for them too.  me and my friends starting learning 270's on street style stuff today and it was sick, we all slayed

Learned lots- I'm not a park skier, so don't make fun. C-boxes both ways, switch off and straight, urban-style(side-on) down boxes, and a long purple tube thing that's the closest I've gotten to rails so far.

Did my first 360 on a kicker I made back in the woods. Tried a frontflip off a little drop into pow, just landed on my back. Haha, all the snow made it fun to try stupid stuff though.

same, I never really learn anything new on opening day, I usually just get used to being on skis on a hill again and start with normal warm up tricks and by then end of the day I start throwing the tricks I learned at the end of the year last year (as far as rails are concerned - I never throw any jump tricks for the first few days, just straight airs, grabs, some 1s, 3s, and 5s - no inverts off jumps (knuckle front flips still go down cause it's one of my favorite things to do) and mostly spins with no grabs. I gotta get my jump legs back, ya know.

But, I did manage to get a front 6 off today - which I've only done like once or twice before but off a cannon like rail - today I did it off a flat-bar that was on the end of a flat so there was a pretty good drop off. Pretty good day all in all.
