I'm thinking of working a US season next year. Some people have worked resorts here. Do i want a big resort mammoth/vail or doesn't matter? best nightlife? good snow? good terrain? park? anything would be great. cheers

yo, no matter where you go its gonna blow your mind coming from oz. i know it did for me. do you want some little 14yr old tool on this site to tell you where you should ski? look around for yourself. personally the US visa is soooooo fucking annoying to get. canada is soo chilled. and cheaper.

go to mammoth, way better than colorado.. less aussies too..

cali weed is better, mammoth has better terrain, moresnow, warmer, and the people are ncer..

+ tahoe isn too far away ether..

the one thing that is going to be really important is where you can get your visa... almost all resorts are having visa troubles now... so get the word out to a few in different states  and different companies aka vail resorts (vail, keystone, breck, beaver creek, heavenly) intrewest (copper, winter park, steamboat) cause visa availability changes from state to state, and company to company... i would start getting in contact with different supervisors, work on getting certification (if you don't have it already) and figure out what to do... if you are in uni it is a different matter you can get a J1 but they can be a bit pricey but are a guaranteed work visa for at least 4 months... good luck...

tried to get a j-1 and then a h-1 visa myself for about 2 months earlier this year. it was insanely complicated, was going to cost $800 and I didn't even have a certain job lined up. working in the states as a causal labour immigrant is nigh on impossible. I hear canada is much more chilled however.
