Refresh Information for Pine Knob:

Hello everyone.  Sorry for not getting this up sooner, was having issues with my NS account.  My name is Jon and I am with “lat.41 advertising”, we are the ones hosting the premiere at Pine Knob on 12/19/09.  To answer some of the questions that have been posted, here is some of the latest information. 

I had a site inspection of PK weeks ago and came up with the ideal room, that is the Pinery Room across from the Bar upstairs.  We have a 7.5' tall x 10’ wide screen that is used for crowds for up to 250 people, plus a 5000 lumen projector (which is pretty darn bright) and a great sound system to boot.

It should be fantastic, I am excited to bring a Level 1 movie to “metro Detroit” and do it where a ski movie belongs, on an active resort, so you can come in off the hill grab a beverage, kick back and watch a jib flick.  And…if you are lucky walk away with some SWAG.

The doors will open at 8pm and the movie will start at 9pm.  We will be doing some smaller giveaways before the show, with some ski trivia and other random stuff to get people pumped up and then the big giveaways will be directly following the movie right around 10pm.

I just got the first shipment in today from L1, with some jackets, Skull Candy headphones and a ton of L1 DVDs.  There are skis, bindings, boots and more stuff coming.

As far as snow goes, they should be open, PK told me they will be open as soon as they have a couple days of mid 20’s to blow and if all goes well that should be this weekend.

Hope to see a bunch of you out there, I know there are some people coming up from Ohio and from all over MI.  I figure it will be a good way to kick off the holidays.  Let me know if you have questions.

STATE PREMIERE CANCELLED!!!

Hey Collin,

Unfortunately, the host of the MSU premiere on the 12th had to cancel due to lack of funding. Sorry that the info was still up on the website--it's been removed, and thanks for bringing it to our attention.

If you can make it, there is a Michigan screening happening on Dec. 19th at the Pine Knob ski resort in Clarkston. The details are listed at http://www.level1productions.com/events.php?y=2009&m=12&d=19.

Unfortunate about the Michigan State Premiere.  Feel free to make your way over to Pine Knob if you can, about an hour from the Lansing area. 

Also an update, Pine Knob opened on Sunday as most of you know and barring any big meltdowns and rain, they should be in full swing by the time of the premiere.

One correction, I did not get boots and bindings like I had posted weeks ago (thought I was), but still have about $2,000 in swag that we will be raffling off including a pair of skis.  The one "ski winner" actually gets to choose between his/her choice of ONE of three new pair of twin tips I will have on hand.  One will be park specific, one park/all mountain and one park/back country. 

I have two other private, non-Level 1, events where I need the 2 other pair of skis, but since PK is the first event, I will let the PK winner choose the pair best suited for their needs.

Should be good stoked for the night.

Just a reminder, that Refresh Premiere at Pine Knob in Clarkston, MI is this Saturday 12/19/09.  We will start selling admission and raffle tickets around 7pm outside the room.  The doors open at 8pm and the movie will be at 9pm.  The raffle will be right after the movie at around 10pm. 

 

We also just found out that we will be giving away a second pair of skis too.  So a total of 2 pairs of skis and a bunch of other items for a total of  over $2000 worth of prizes.

 

One thing to mention…it will be CASH ONLY.  So either bring cash or you can use the ATM in the cafeteria at PK.  Looking forward to seeing you guys out there.
