we used to have a 'hot-basket' it kept our rolls warm on thanksgiving, i would love to have a good hot plate, i would sit on it when i got cold

we call it toasted cheese in oz, toasties for short. hotplate jacket is so ill, would have bought if i had see this earlier, but i just bought an orage puffer. sorry.

At Boston Pizza, we call Garlic Bread 'Toasties'.
A hot plate is a single element stove. Usually for small apartments, or for someone not able to buy an oven.
A hot plate is also an oakley jacket, very warm, and somewhat stylish, if you're into the puffy jacket scene.
