its like a fun competition on snow in a parking lot (i think). and its in gatineau infront of En Equilibre. check the facebook group if you have any questions about it
so i was just told skiers are only aloud to ski for 20 minutes at the start for free... there is no competition for skiers though... pm the event creator on facebook about that
Justin Dubois (one of the admins for he competition) says:
We've all been to trick and treat (or most of us) last year and it was
pretty awesome for a backyard competition. Even thought it was
organized as a small competition, it gained popularity really quick for
it's original setup..You can't go wrong with a big party at Halloween
and be the first to jib a decent setup! It was the place to be for both
skiers and snowboarders. During the whole winter season, all we heard
was will there be a TnT2 !? Because Chris is such a nice guy,he decided
to create the event again and he wanted to make this the one to be at
Halloween but needed a place to set this up. This is where we talked to
EQ about it and made the decision with Frank and all the boys at the
shop to host this comp. Because we were all so high on ideas and stoked
on the fact that this was happening again, we just went on all sides
and made calls to get this thing going! Until a couple of days,
everything was going to plan until we revised our sponsor list and
total list of riders! We (Aftershred, EQ) in no way, wanted to isolate skiiers. Both sides
are equal and don't look down on any. But because of time issues and
sponsor list, it restricted us from combining both sports. We must not
forget that EQ is a skateboard and snowboard shop and I know that you
can still be a customer of such shop even though you ride twins!
Speaking in part of Aftershred, which is a forum dedicated to the local
riders, WE fully support both sports and hope to grow a bigger skier
fanbase this season. EQ and Aftershred came to an agreement that this
year we will feature snowboarders only due to time restraint but will
offer a session for skiers. Because of this situation, we want to make
next years event bigger and we will fully integrate skiers and their
respective sponsors for a full on crazy jibtastic event!! We apologize
for this last minute update but please don't disrespect the employees
of EQ for this. They have used their own resources to bring this as big
as it will be.
We hope to see you all at the event despite the issue and hopefully my
long post will help you understand the situation in a better
perspective.
