Sony vegas

Ok so i just got sony vegas and i have a question, after i change something to my project, when i go back to watch it, it is all laggy and choppy and stuff.  is there any way to fix this? +k for good answers of course

i have a gig of ram and run vegas 8 pro with only a little lag so thats not your problem

If your preview window is set to "Best", change it to "Preview (Auto)".  Hope that helps.

you might also want to look into your graphics card, i had to upgrade mine when i started to do editing
