See I don't agree. Express yourself in public. Don't go overboard and make out or anything. But light kissing in public is fine. Even a big long kiss after time spent apart is cool with me.

And I feel this way towards any sexual preference one may have.

no, i dont think i have anything to apologize for.  look at the harness story, i got pissed at the dude for not doing stuff to regulation, and then he gets in my face about me not liking him cause he is gay.  srsly, where the FUCK did that come from?  if you are gay, thats great, but, just like christians, jews, muslims, and anyone else that pushes their agenda, just cause im not a "part" of said agenda doesnt give you a right to get in my face about it.

You can take incomplete and out of context quotes from any piece of literature and portray it in almost anyway you want to.  If anyone of you ever read the bible and all the books you would understand.  You have to read most every one in its entirety to understand it.  Most of what your quoting came directly from God to the Israelites and things were entirely different then.

but quoting from the old testament isnt always relevant to modern day.  jesus came to free us from the law. just my two cents...im not saying whether gay marriage is right or wrong, im just saying that their argument is slightly flawed.

God is perfect. But not perfect enough to make law that could transcend time. So he fucked up the first time around. But he's still perfect. And all-knowing. But we still have free will. Kinda.

Thats not the Christian argument at all. Their real argument would be that God is still perfect, but humans are not. Giving humans free will by design would make them less like God (because they would not emulate him) and therefore able to fuck things up or misunderstand what God really "wants".

No. I'm telling you that something a guy writes that ends up in the Bible may not actually be what God has in mind. That text has been edited and translated so many times that there is no way of telling whats "genuine" or just crap that somebody threw in.

Also i think that instead of bitching about it it would make more sense to be positive. I understand the points of both sides... but it seems to me that all problems related are from one side being negative. Be a part of the solution not the problem.

That was certainly true during the Middle Ages. In its earlier days it was more so a code of morals and ethics that challenged many of the dominant beliefs the ancient world, mainly Roman and Pagan. The original books surfaced out of this era, and over time more books were added and the Bible itself was translated, paraphrased, and edited for various reasons.

the Bible is made up of different "books"/chapter sort of things right?  now, correct me if i am wrong but there are only two books in the entire Bible that were actually written when Jesus Christ supposedly lived and even those two contradict each other.

I don't believe in god, but using your faith-based argument, didn't god create everyone in his/her own image? If that's the case, why would god make something that is wrong therefore implying that he/she is wrong, therefore negating the fact that he is omnipotent and omniscient?

It would be hard to call you right when your own argument doesn't make any distinction between God and The Bible...you use the two interchangeably to suit your one-liners.

I'm just being the devils advocate here and suggesting that the Bible is not the exact infallible word of God, because it would be inherently corrupted the minute a human sits down and tries to put "the Word" from pen to paper (later editing aside).

Not all Christians believe the bible is a literal translation, just like not all Christians are opposed to homosexuality (and gay marriage by extension).

Many of them were written at different times, and there are places where its not exactly clear who wrote what (even where its claim who did in fact). There are places as well where its uncertain if any contradictions were there from the beginning, or a result of later changes.

This is false because not ALL people under the Christian and Jewish beliefs do in fact use it as "word of law". Many use passages simply as examples or guidelines to life and behavior.
