digicamcorder batteries

the batteries in my samsung scd67 camcorder last about 1-1.5 hours tops with no lcd screen use. is there anything i can do to prolong my battery life or get extra batteries? anybody else have this problem?

cold weather makes the chemical charge (lithium ion) act weird, and the battery discharges most of its energy just because of the weather...you need more batteries

i usually get about 2 hours on my battery without the lcd if it's pretty warm out. But on super cold days i've only gotten 10 minutes.

check out www.battterytown.com...I got a 9 hour battery for my Canon brand new for $50 and have had no problems with it.

ebay for sure....I got a 9hr for my canon for super cheap...give me like 4hrs in the cold and I never have to charge it or worry about taking a dead camera by accident

its not for a dv cam, but i got a 14+ hour generic NP f-960 model on ebay for only 37 bucks including shipping. i still havent had to recharge it and i got it a few months ago. last time i checked, it had about 900 minutes of battery left. definitely hit up ebay, and generic batteries are always cheaper.

i have a canon dv and my battery sucks too. Not so bad recently cuz its been warmer but all through dec. and jan. it would die in about 45 mins cuz it was so damn cold. i want a bigger one anyway though

yeah we had same problem, i think its all to do with the cold weather. Just try and somehow keep the battery as warm as possible i guess.
