not to disagree but i have not seen it anywhere other than on an armada ski from what i know the JJ and Alpha 1 were the first plz corect me if im wrong

but what he's saying is that it's been out for a while now.
anyway from what I've heard, it make pow much easier and skiing alll around pretty effortless..

You're wrong.  I'm forgetting what the Elf Shoe is but I remember thinking it was nothing crazy and other brands had a similar design, it was just Armada's name for it.  Just like LINE's Early Rise is really their term for rocker.

Okay, I am tired and way stressed, but I just checked out the ES Tech on Armada's website and if I read correctly, it sounds like their term for a technology equivalent to or just like LINE's Early Taper design.

it does. my jjs tear it up in pretty much all conditions. i still have adjustable demo bindings on the cuz i bought them at the end of the year. but even with those it still owns every bit of the mountian

aight thanks for the corection and info but ya i bought my jjs just before christmas last ones i could find any where. found em at a local ski shop at alyeska. pretty much riped powder like nobodies business my fave part about them is definetly skiing straight up back seat in like 3 foot of pow just bouncing off of the early rise tail.

Elf Shoe Tech is Armada's shape/design name for ski's with rocker in the tip, regular camber underfoot and rocker in the tail.. The JJ has reagular camber and sidecut within the reverse sidecut design of the ARG..

More and more companies make ski's like the JJ with rocker in the tip and tail en camber underfoot.. Only Armada says they have sidecut within reverse sidecut, other companies say their design have early taper..

So its not like sierra_steeze says that elf shoe tech is the same as line's early rise or early taper.., its a combo..

Other ski's that work the same (that I know of) are the 4FRNT CRJ, K2 Obsethed, Bibby Pro, Bentchetler, and some more.. Who can name more of these models?

IMO the elf shoe is armadas name for the COMBINATION of rocker and reverse sidecut/early taper.

Fat skis in the same category.

Armada JJ, Atomic Bentchetler (made in the same factory and with the same cap/sidewall construction), Line Ep Pro, Moment Night Train/ Reagan. 4frnt crj

Fat skis not in the same category,

 The Obsethed, Hellbent, 4frntVct Turbo,  etc without early rise/reverse sidecut will not slash turns quite as easily but it is still achievable.

Similar PARK skis, NONE....

As said earlier it is just Armada's techy name for combining rocker with taper. It is nothing new and Armada was hardly the first company to think of it.

Well elf shoe is not only rocker + reverse sidecut/early taper, but you should not forget the regular (little) camber underfoot, else it would be rocker - flat - rocker, like the EP pro.. Thats why those ski's are so nice.. great in pow and trees, but also good on hard snow and in crud!!

Exactly. A 5 dimension ski, tip-mid-sole-mid-tail. The JJs perform amazingly! And I'm thinking about getting the Alpha 1s or 2s.
