So its about that time, people are going to be receiving their 333skis in the next few weeks, and this is the place to post up reviews.

What I would like to see, is a general summary of your skis shape, dimensions, pics etc. Then when you get to use them on snow, a first impression. Finally, after a good season of abuse, an overall conclusion on how you like/dislike them, for the skiing, durability, etc.

If you have questions about a specific pair of skis, try to PM the poster, so the thread does not get huge and cluttered. I would like to have as many pairs reviewed as possible. If you have a general question about the construction of the skis, or whatever, just PM me.

ha, if ON3P was $150 more, then yeah, maybe...

but its not. no company comes close to this price. plus, its completely custom

and what more do you know about the skis then what you've seen in the pictures? have you rode them? have you even flexed them? have you held them in your hands and checked over everything to look for faults and what not?

no, you've never touched them. you cannot compare ON3P to something that you have never experienced. maybe some things that 333 does is different, maybe the technology they use doesn't look as good on paper. but hell, NASA spaceships are built by the lowest bidder, and we trust peoples lives in them, and they (for the most part) do hold up just fine. just because his skis are different, doesnt mean they HAVE to be worse...

I wasnt worried about the 7 dollars i was just pointing out that the ON3P presale was over and they are 549 now.

BTW im not hating on you ON3P or 333skis. I like both Brands and have considered buying both brands.

its a terrible example, but think of American Gangster, how Denzel sells crack that is twice as good, for half the price.

you're right, to each his own. But i think your letting price blind you. If something is more expensive, it HAS to be better. but the thing is, something thats less expensive can also be the best...

and i think ON3P is awesome, i love what they do. they make baller skis that people love, and they are really into what they do and are even very active members on these forums.

oh and just to add
remember, im getting two pairs of skis now, for the extremely low price of 1. thats some great customer service if you ask me
so like backcountry.com, you may pay a little more for your item, but you know that your covered no matter what. well i may be taking a risk with my skis, but i have (proven) faith that im covered

a ski that has plywood cores with cap construction baked in the sun just doesnt seem like the right ski for me. im willing to take the "risk" of spending a little more and buying on3ps

alright, from looking at these pictures, i see most people just got the 222 test models. they look horrible. they might ski fine and all that, i have no idea. i dont think anyone really knows yet. but the topsheets look horrible with the bumpy, rushed looking fiberglass layer. the bolts and nuts are a really rushed, quick fix with whatever mike had laying around the shop. obviously rivets would have been a better choice. and i am guessing they are put in in an attempt to get the topsheet to stay together.

imho, i wouldnt buy these skis unless i knew how they were on all snow conditions. sure, 222 bucks is cheap, but when you can find skis for under 300 online anyway, they really dont seem all that great. also, for a handmade ski, they dont have the craft that most handmade skis have. thus, allowing them to be really cheap.

your going by the pictures, and you talking about the "top sheet" only
since i actually own a pair of skis, i will tell you that, yes, the top sheet is a little textured i would say. but actually looks good, and is not nearly as "bumpy" as you think. since they are not really top sheets anyway, they won't chip or anything like that. i expect them to last longer than most skis.
and the rivets, although bad for touring, are not rushed. its just not a screw with a nut on it, they are pretty heavy duty and in there solid. yes, he could have done it with more legit rivets, but he didnt. i think they look sick, they have the authentic, hand made by the common man (hence the screws) look. . there is no doubt the ski will stay together, and, in fact, he has a man on video testifying that he skied the shit out of some tele skis (from last winter, meaning before he figured out new tech to use and while he was still working out kinks) and they are still as good as the day he got them.

yeah, you can find some shitty skis online for 300. there are a couple of pairs, so your limited to the type of ski. and they are mostly the invader type ski thats just a noodle and made for park. go find me a good $300 pow or all mountain ski

i dont want to argue about 333 bc i think they are sweet and my bro is getting his made right now but you can get good skis for cheap. i got LL2's with griffons essentially new for 200 shipped and rossi s5's also essentially new for 100 shipped (/claim). good deals are out there to be had.

i will post some pics of my brothers when he gets them. they are the largest mike could make

i mean, i work for a ski shop and get pro deals on volkl and dynastar and nordica and what not, but they still arent even close to the $222

how the hell can you get new S5's for $100 shipped?

HA! You fail at life... get out of my thread. FYI, all skis look like that till they get a topsheet. Its called fiberglass... And there is no topsheet to "stay together" that's the point... That is why they are so "rushed looking" Do you know what a vacuum press does to resin soaked fiberglass? It makes it... BUMPY

having texture on skis is no big deal. I can't wait to get some of these in my hands to check the flex and construction. the first person I see with them I'm getting to click out so I can feel them myself.

that said. you 333 fans take all of this a bit too personally. chill the fuck out. if you didn't want people to tell you what they think then why did you ever start a thread on NS????

not review and then assumptions and accusations. 
its idiots that assume the ski wont stay together or that the "topsheet" is shit are the reason we get pissed. and i would get pissed even if i didn't own these skis, or if they were different skis, because hes wrong and ignorant

as i said before, i dont like the way they look. obviously that doesnt affect the way thhey actually ski, and i said that. nobody here really knows how they ski on all conditions yet and how they will last.

i watched almost all the videos on the 333skis site and watched the whole construction process. they do look well made, they just dont look very well crafted. i dont think you get what i mean, and wouldnt unless you were having the same thoughs as i am having. whatever... hope i cleared up my earlier post a little.

also, as i said, i would like to test some but obviously i would have to buy them in order to test them. so thats a no.

i hate how people nock 333 skis, and would blow anything on3p touches, i bet no more than 20 people on this site have actually touched or seen any on3p product in person, yes they have cool top sheets, its sad that people are all over a company becasue of what kind of top sheet they have,    besides iggiskier who is on3p where are everyone elses revies, i can understand blind support for a company.  We when tthrew this with full tilts, people love them since there trendy before they ever even tried them on or demo'ed them/  If thats the type of person you are thats you, but there is no reason to bash 333 constantly, the guys doing his thing and having fun doing it, and kids are getting ski for cheep, to each his own but dont hate on a company or people just because you love on3p.

in 5 months let me see a pair of on3p skis and lets sew how the top sheet looks dont want to be a downer but unless the topsheet is reverse dimond cut like a lit of rental skis i bet the skis tope sheets dont stay "chip resistant"

"the skis came well wraped in a bunch of plastic over cardboard and finally the skis. there was a fucking razor blade between the plastic and cardboard that luckly just hardly nicked me i figure it was a honest mistake..the razor must have been used to pack and accidently got thrown in the mix.

so the skis. well check out the pic. honestly they look like they were built in a middle school shop class. the layup is way off. the edges on the tips and tails are held on simply by the topsheet glass. i dont think theyd even hold up to a strong carve.

there are also 3 holes all the way thru teh bases (patched) and core . i guess this is how he holds the ski in his contraption.

the side cut is different on each edge. the right edge has a lot more sidecut than the left.

im going to take em to the shop to see what they think. after i get a few other opinions ill write a email stating my unsatisfaction. if he dosnet reply or i dont like what he sez im opening a paypal dispute. the prodict i got is no where what was promised to me."

Alright Dubsman, let's see you back this up. Looks like hit or miss. Me, I don't sit at the $300 blackjack table with a sketchy dealer who leaves razor blades in poor places.

Thats true, my take on it is that he is still working things out. Those skis from tgr shouldnt have been sent to him. I think for a totally custom ski for 272 bucks is a good deal, i wouldnt mind pickup a pair to ad too my quiver, i dont think i would buy it as my only ski though. I think he is capable of producing a good ski but the first skis he produced were a little rough but i think he will iron out the kinks.

so this guy on tgr is also unsatisfied with what he received. alright so that two pairs that mike now has to replace... by hand. when he is done making all the other batches...

couldnt he have just put some more effort into the first batches? i mean really? now he has to put in more time and make more skis than originally. really? come on man. think about this.

and yeah, he has great customer support and will make another pair for free because it is his first year. he has to do this in order to keep at least some customers happy.



im not even trying to hate here. i would love to see a company be able to create completely customized skis and actually last with these prices, but is he going to be able to keep the business going if he has to replace so many of his horribly botched pairs?

Yeah... Lets keep it on the 333skis people. Leave ON3P alone. Echoing Iggy. Apples to Oranges, if you wanna compare 333s to anything, compare them to Fulsom or something. ON3P skis are not custom. The only thing they really have in common is 3/4 wrap edges, and they are both "core."

BTW. I went skiing at Stevens on Sunday. I was rocking my Chopsticks, and they kick ass. Pillows, crud, cliff drops, chunky bumpy groomer crud. They ate it up.

hey man, the guys at my shop were checking out the skis the other day and we found that the tail rocker didnt line up, and the tail was actually slightly twisted (couple mm that would be fixed when weight is put on it).

His skis (in the tgr thread) look like absolute shit, i won't lie. but mine dont look anything like that. mine look much better, like a real ski. so its one pair, its not all his skis, and hes only going to get better and smarter.

its the first batch. first batch where he was pressured for time, pressured to do everything right because the skiers were not his friends, they are real live customers. He has his own machines, nothing is perfectly cut down to the nearest .0001mm. hes human, and his business is human. and hes working out the kinks.

and im getting two pairs of skis for $242. im no complaining.
