I know they are stil giving out the product key after thursday but who knows when that will end and its easier to just download it now

Watch the calendar. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you'll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You'll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use. (Learn more about installing Windows.)

wow i just finished the installation and all i can say is wow. Just forget about vista this is what it should have been and its so fast and awsome, and free for like 7 months! Do it!

windows 7 is a great os. i have the full release cd on my desk right now, im just waiting to back up my stuff. i hope all the drivers are ok......

Ive had no driver problams so far, but i guess cuz everything is ok with vista. Thats sweet you have the full version, is it much different than the RC1?

It will download and install most of the drivers you need while its installing, just about the best thing ever.

Stopped at 99.6%. Awesome! I've had the beta for a while and I have to say it's awesome. Can't wait to use the RC. Anyone upgraded the beta to this? Not a new install but upgrade.

Well when I upgraded, my vista install got messed up, I'm no longer able to access 2 hard drives and this is causing an error that won't read 7. Fuckin awesome...

I've had a clean install of the Windows 7 RC for a couple months now. Works so good, so smooth. My computer's performance has increased by leaps and bounds. Loving it. Only a few minor slip-ups, amazing considering the stage of development.

i would not install any beta or anything thats gonna expire soon....
than when its up you have to reinstall everything
not worth it to me...
if your gonna get windows 7 get the retail one you it doesnt expire...

I just installed it a couple days ago, it was a good choice. awesome OS, vista cant hold a candle to 7. i had no issues installing. it carried over all of the programs and files perfectly. make sure you back up your stuff though, when you actyually buy the retail version you WILL have to clean install.

what the fuck. I don't have a windows account so it's making me create one. And if that wasn't enough you have to get parent permission (even though I put my birthday as an adult) and the only way the parents can give their credentials to you is if they create an account. It's so fucked up. Anybody who wants to give me another way to get this OS please, please let me know. I probably won't be able to get it because of this bullshit. I have to keep running the worst OS ever created.
