Armada ARV

I was thinking about the 08/09 Armada ARV skis for next season, probably in a 165, and i was wondering how quick and snappy they are in the trees and how stiff they are for the crud. I hear that they float in powder good, but my biggest concern was their park preformance. I really want a good and durable ski that will be great in the park as well as everywhere else, so how are they in park? How durable will they be? Also, if i got them, where should i mount them? i was thinking 2 or 3 back from center for probably 50/50 park/all-mtn, or like 70% all mtn. And any binding suggestions would be great also. Answers are highly appreciated. +K

ive got the 07/08 arv's and loooove them.  ive taken them out west in the trees and they have held up perfectly, i have never had a problem with them not being snappy enough or quick enough.    as for park i ride through a good amount, and they have held up great for the last 2 years. im riding them again this year.  i have mine -2 with px 12 jib bindings, which i love.   as for durability the bases are in great shape, although i do take care of my gear.  the top sheets are chipping, but thats only cosmetics.  still has pop and hold up well.  they are stiff underfoot and buttery in the tips as im sure uve read everywhere, but they have held up well when ive decided to charge crud out at bachelor.  very solid ski, im ridin em again for my 3rd year

and btw, how good will float in deeper pow?

wen i was in oregon i had about four feet of pow and wen i was carrying speed they floated real nice, nothing compared to pow skis, but they did make it easy to rise in the pow and the soft tips help out a lot

we own both 165 and 185cm  2008-2009 ARV's.  On 165 cm is a 140lb ex racer & coach & instructor. Skis r great but it is biased for big mtn and likes snow just like the rating on http://www.armadaskis.com/product/skis/ARV.php    Works everywhere. GREAT in the crud / chop, slough..good in the trees .... the ski is about an18m turn radius  .has a fast base..... 

but if u want a park ski they are usually narrower and built tougher like the AR6. Other skis may perform better on dry hardpack. ARV is one of the best all-round skis available.  There are better specialty pow skis and better park specialty skis out there. This is a thinner lighter great all-round ski better for the mtns.

mount for 2008-2009--For true center you take a tape measure,  run it from tip to tail and divide by half, that is the true center point. 

-7cm is the only mounting point recommend for b/c it is mostly an all mtn ski.  

IF you like to ski a little forward so you can push that up to -5cm back.  I personally think -2cm is too far forward and would not ski well in fresh snow.
