Replying to Another Convince my Parents thread!

Alright NS.  I know you might be sick of these types of threads, but I need your help.  Two of my friends have pit bikes, now I want one.  Of course, my parents, never being around any motorized vehicle besides a car always pull the: "No, I don't know anything about those machines and they are really dangerous."  Of course, they are completely fine with me DH mtb riding right next to cliffs and gulches where I could easily fall in and drown, and they are fine with me riding 55mph down a trail at the Mammoth mtb park.  So of couse, I have the full face helmet, shin/knee pads, elbow pads, and my friend could even sell me a body armor suit for cheap.  I have the money and a good paying job.  I am allowed to drop 30 ft. cliffs and charge through trees on my skis, all they will say is: "Be careful and don't do anything stupid."  So I have the balance to ride this, I know how bikes ride, and it would be super fun to just cruise around on or ride down at the river by my house.  I already have a few ideas thought out, "it keeps me off of drugs." (I don't do drugs anyways), "gives me something to do in the summer," "my friends have them."  What else NS?
