Replying to Brake are Bad

Problems with Look or rossignol brakes? If you land switch hard, sometimes the brakes(angled towards the back) dig in the snow, bend and mess up or crack the brake piece of the binding. The spring loaded part also comes unhooked from the stomp pad thing, and bends sometimes breaking off completely.

The obvious solution is to not fall (you will always fall when learning tricks)but are there any other ways to avoid this besides having no brakes?
