08 pipe cleaners or 08 arv's

so i walked into a local ski shop today and the guy was trying to get ride of all his older skis.  He said he would sale me any 08 armadas for 115 and put brand new look p12's on them for 215 total.  I already have 09 ar6's so im trying to decide if i should go with the arv's or the pipecleaners.  i know the ar6 and the pipe cleaner are pretty much the same ski, but i've never ridden the arv.  Is the arv a solid ski? im east/south coast so i many ride in the park but i do take trips out west

The ARV is gonna be fun in the park and all around the mountain, the PC is going to shred the fuck out of the park and the whole mountain unless you get into deepish snow.

ARV = soft, more playful, more versatile.

PC = stiffer, faster, lighter, more park oriented.

I say go for the PCs unless you're planning on riding a lot of off-piste stuff.

does anyone know how the arv's do in deeper snow? i want to have a ski in my quiver thats strong in deep snow

Since you already have park skis I would get the ARV's. They will be okay for pow and you are getting a great deal. if you dont like them then you can hook someone up on here with a sick deal

yea i'm honestly considering getting both now.  for 330 i could mount one pair with a pair of brand new look p12's and take my old looks and put them on the new pair. that still cheaper than one pair would be anywhere else

if i were you, i'd probably skip the ARVs, i would rather ski pipe cleaners all over the mountain than ARVs
