This movie looks dope, its actually kinda scary looking at whats predicted for that day, but anyways some pretty nasty effects in this movie

so basically they put the story of noah's arch, armageddon/deep impact, the day after tomorrow, independance day, and the myth of the year 2012, into one giant movies? looks interesting. to bad its john cusack who is the opposite of badass

No the mayan calendar just repeats, it's like an odometer or some shit. It's reached the end several times now and nothing has happened so everyone should just fuck off with this bullshit I hate it.

i hate that theory, but just in case it happens im going heli skiing that day, i mean if i had to spend my last day doing something, it would be that.

the concept of this movie is kinda played they are all just slighly different, except for knowing took it to a whole new level of fucking gay with the alien bullshit

But seriously, I have a feeling this is gonna be the movie event of the year, with it coming out right in time for Thanksgiving (arguably one of the best movie weekends of the year). Roland Emmerich really knows how to direct a disaster film.

the release of this is great timing... i mean we are in the middle of a recession, people loosing their jobs and shit... then a movie comes out about how we are all going to die in 3 years time and theres nothing we can do about it...

great way to keep people positive and optimistic about life!

ok so me and my friend decided to sleep on his tramp and if you have ever done that tons of crazy shit gets thrown around when you are under the stars. so anyway we get to the topic of end of the world and he says oh shit mayan calender ends in 2012 and im like dope dog graduation + end of the world party. then he says that the calender has predicted other disasters and wars and shit (idk if this is true) and then today i go to see year one and there's a poster for this movie. talk about coincidences

i honestly cant tell if you guys that are saying "oh wow this movie looks super sick and the cgi is gonna be off the hook" are joking 100% or not. Its like you have never seen a movie trailer before, the cgi was just seen in that very trailer, and plot is far too easy to see america get kicked but kick back harder in the end only after we almost dont help each other. everyday father john cusak drives a fucking car out the back of a cargo plane, i think it was like in the artic or something.seriouly!!!!yeah super sick tight movie that must be!!!!

the whole cause of every1 going omg about 2012 is because the planets are going to line up. yes. every planet is going to line up perfectly with the sun and its going to b the scariest eclipse ever lol. but the reason for fear is that the lined up planets are going to screw up earths orbit since all of their gravitational pulls are going to pretty much just screw everything up they think just because of the line up. but alot of the stuff in this movie could be true. the excessive gravitational pull from all of the planets when lines up will create a lower pressure on earth. lower pressure will make a worldwide low pressure system which will cause the stormy weather. the other planets' may also start to slightly distort earths shape since it is mostly liquid magma since their combined gravity will pull on parts of the earth as it spins. they could cause many earthquakes along the equator area. the meteor shower part is bullcrap and over all, with the overall gravitational pull from all the planets, it could set the earths orbit off making it gradually move farther and farther away from the sun. this will mean an overall cooler climate for earth. :))))))) snow :)))))) well... more of it but atleast our generation wont see anything dramatic. within millions of years this could have a big inpact but id doubt if earth would ever leave the suns orbit...

while the planets may "line up" they still vary slightly on the plane,  even if all our planets were lined up gravitational pull would not effect us.
