So recently I have been astounded by the sheer volume of outerwear and gear that Backcountry.com stocks. Just on tramdock was Oakley Pipe gloves, just standard cheap gloves that cost $30 (available for $10). What blew me away though was the number available was 492!!!!!!!! Holy crap. First, did someone at Backcountry.com really say "hey, I bet there are well over 500 people who prefer Oakley's simple glove style to any other glove out there"? Pretty odd to me. You may be thinking "hey, that isn't that crazy". But clearly, if it is June and they are still trying to get rid of 500 pairs, they are in trouble. So interesting to me. Usually Oakley goes with the idea of being more limited and therefore seemingly more elite with their outerwear. So much for that :) Sorry, I can't sleep and have to get up sooner than I'd like. hence, threads like this.
