Jiberish? shitty quality/overpriced

Ok, there is no question that Jiberish' designs are dope, and all the JIberish riders are mad hood and dope at skiing. But the hoodies themselves kinda suck. Iv had: Fruit and Orbs, Crest, Level 1 Crew, and Charlie Hustle Boltastic

On my Crest: pockets broke.

level 1 crew: paint on the back cracked a shit load.

Fruit And Orbs: Shrunk aton, balls got on the cuffs

Charlie Hustle: Littyle balls appeared all over the hoodie. (i hav removed all of them.)

Boltastic: A hole appeared in the side that i had to stich.

Bttom line is, I'm paying 60-70 for these hoodies, and the quality sucks. I hope Jiberish steps it up. and Personnaly, i think TAF is where its at.

did you ski with them on? cause that could be why. you are also left out how much you wear them, I mean if you wear them everyday and move around ing them a lot of course their gonna get messed up. As for the little balls, that happens to every hoodie that the cuffs go over your hands, the sweat from you hands cause them. But yeah, they are pretty good quality compared to other hoodies, yes they are expensive, but there is a reason, the designs and fabrics are sick, they are super comfy, and they are acually pretty high quality, maybe you just don't take very good care of them (not an attack, just on observation)

i like the Jiberish stuff and all, but i went to Champs and bought a 30$ diamond patterened checkered zip up that i'm just as pleased with.  i skied with it all spring and couldnt be happier

Maybe you should take up your problems with Jiberish first before making a thread complaining. The people over at Jiberish are real good people and they try to make everyone happy. My zippers broke on my Level 1 hoodie last year I emailed them and they offered to reimburse me to have them replaced at a tailor. Then on my Level 1 crew this year the paint cracked and they send me a brand new one, paid shipping both ways and apologized for the trouble. As for the shrinking and little balls you should probably read the washing instructions on the tag or just use common sense. Jiberish is a small company and I'm sure they will try to please all their customers in some way. There is no need for a thread hating on them because of a few small problems and user error.

jiberish has generally good quality, and stellar customer service, and i don't think there's any need to call them out

i had a problem with my solid tee and they were very quick to respond to email and very quick to ship a new shirt to me.
i'm very happy with the quality of my cross dots hoody, but yeah, i should probably stop putting it in the dryer.
the price is steep, but the stuff is dope.

i only air dry my cloths, and i have never had a single issue with my jibberish other then when i crashed hitting urban and tore a hole in the back of my sunday's best, but i sewed it up so everythings good :)

i love jiberish, however i do have two complaints.

1. Being the balls that develop on the elastic
2. How tight they are on the waist and wrist. I hate that! Like for example the line hoodie is perfect tall and it fits bigger on the waist, i mean jiberish is a ski company do they not get that people are going to be layering tees underneath their hoodies? and also the tightness almost eliminates some of the tallness because whenever id land wearing my jiberish if i afterbanged too hard (haha) it would come up and hug me around my belly button and fit like a bra.

so my advice to jiberish, a wider waist. maybe lose the elastic. K BAI

read up a little first guys. the 'balls', more commonly known as bobbles, occur because the hoody is made from a man-made fibre. not moisture or anything like that. you may have noticed that your 100% cotton t shirts have no bobbles, but a football shirt has them all over. its the polyester.

nope. my airblaster/ american apparel stuff doesn't do that. even my cheap ass champs hoody doesn't do it, those stupid little balls are part of the reason I sold my fruit and orbs...

I think to that Jiberish is shitty quality, I've got the Level 1 in brown courdoy and it has been broken 3 times! its ultra-cold (not warm) and it's overprized, I have been thinking about this, and i'am craft my own hoodie, favourite colours and favourite size... lot of work yes but I am gonna have a custom hoodie!

I wouldnt say jiberish is low quality at all. I absolutely love my creeper it looks sick when im skiing or when im off the hill and nothing has ripped so far.

The only thing i would complain about is how the waist elastic rises up im always having to pull it down and stuff

Their hoodies and crews are fantastic quality.

However, I am iffy on their T-shirts, as the ones I own all seem to twist to the right, meaning the top is oriented fine, but at the bottom, the shirt is twisted like 6 inches to the right.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but that is my only complaint with them, the materials are top notch, they're rediculously comfortable, and they look awesome.

I will continue to buy more just because I love what they are doing.

Wow I have never seen so much concentrated hate on Jiberish, except maybe in the sticker thread, but that's beside the point.

I love my Jiberish Level 1 hoodie. It's the perfect fit, it's not getting ugly or torn or anything. Yeah it's got the ball things, but every hoodie I own gets that. I do see the issue with the waist, but I am a lanky fellow and hate it when my hoodies are fat at the bottom. Jiberish's waist is perfect. Long but not fat. If they are too tight, I'm sure they are stretchable. I think I read somewhere that someone stretched theirs.

These threads keep us motivated and focused on what we need to work on for sure!  We are stoked on those supporting and defending our cause, it doesn't go un-noticed. 

That said we are switching up the cuffing and ribbing material to aleviate the pilling (little balls) issue as much as possible.  Also the pattern has been changed so the ribbing is not so tight in the waist so should help those who have issues with it bunching up.

I encourage anyone with questions, suggestions or any problems with product to get in touch with us.  Again we take these issues and suggestions very serious and are taking steps to better our quality every year. 

Hope this helps, and glad that overall people are stoked on what we are doing.

trust me i love jiberish like no other and hav dealed with customer service in depth and they r GREAT...But for the price iv been payin, all these little problems started to piss me off....Just tryin to figure out if other kids feel the same way..that all....Im still gonna buy their shit

I agree with the thread creator here, but it seems to depend on which hoodie... My MFG was great (aside from the balls/pills and the tightness of the waist), but my crossdot cracked a ton... and there seems to be quite a problem with the level1 crew. I've heard tons of people complaining about the cracking, there was a thread on it a while back, and my friends cracked really bad after like no time at all...

but good to hear that improvements will be made, looking forward to this years line with the looser waist and taller sizes.

I think you are mistaking criticizing for hatred.  It is perfectly okay for a person who owns numerous items from a company to have an opinion on them.

It is sad that whenever someone seems to voice their concern or opinion about something that is especially popular with the more style/outerwear conscious riders on this site it is taken as 'hate'.  Grow up a little guys, the author isn't criticizing people who wear Jiberish, or the company for their design/style, but rather the construction and value.  When skis fall apart and the company needs to fix a flaw, no one calls it hate, it is just a fact.  Example: the first season of AR5 had a larger than average percentage of delaminating topsheets.  It was a fact.  Many people had problem with this, including me.  Armada went to work on this and now the AR6 is one of the most durable park skis on the market.  No one considered it "hate" on Armada when an opinion was stated about first year quality. 

What I do like about this thread was that people don't have to defend Jiberish just because it is in style.  Even better though, was the guy from Jiberish above coming on saying "Thanks for those points, we are currently working to fix them".  That is both mature and professional and I hope Jiberish improves their product and gets more support as a result.  I always highly respect a company that put customer service about all else.  Bravo, Jiberish.  I personally don't wear your style of hoodie, but I would gladly recommend friends to after seeing your stance on this topic.

The little lint balls are the worst i've ever encountered on any clothing i have ever owned, but is simply solved with a 3 dollar electric lint brush which is widely available! The t's twisting to the right seemed to be much worse with 07'08' than 08'09', but this years tee's seem to have a long waist with short{too short for my skinny ass} sleeves! The paint cracking on the level 1 is undeniable, reminds me of iou's in the 80's{yeah im that old}. and the elastic waist being too tight is only on this years , years past not an issue! The design is straight, but obviously there needs to be some tweaking and much more product testing b4 releasing future lines!

This doesn't make sense. Jiberish is primarily a ski company, of course some of they're clothing is "lifestyle" clothing or whatever, but their main advertising target is skiers. The people sponsored by jiberish get paid to wear their clothing while skiing or snowboarding. It shouldn't fall apart because of skiing in it, to a certain extent. If you ski 100 times a year in it and wear it everyday and don't treat it with common sense then yes, it could fall apart.
