ok i can do 3's and 5's comfortably on 10-20 ft jumps. these jumps
arent big enough for me to throw a legit grab in there so i wanna go
bigger. i think you can see where im heading with this, but do you
approach the jump differently (besides speed)? do you throw harder? any
tips will help
Well if you wanna go bigger, that=more airtime which=more time to spin so no you dont have to throw the spin harder, you wanna throw it less hard if its abigger jump. And comit fully.
approach the jump the same way, but to make grabbing easy you should
try to bring your knees up a bit and reach down for your grab when you
pass about 180.
moving on to bigger jumps, make sure you get a few good straight airs in so you know your speed well, then just set the same speed and make sure you don't slow down because of fear or any other reason because you will knuckle the jump and could potentially throw your rotation back accidentally. I've had this problem in the past, but as you practice you will become more and more comfortable with throwing stuff off of bigger jumps.
