Been studying this stuff for a while but finally found a great graphic worth sharing thanks to Stubleupon.  What kind of world do we live in where allowing this kind of waste production is ok as long as we don't see it everyday?  It's time to wake up and put aside your hate for tree hugging hippies and realize the reality of what we're doing to our home.

I'm always sickened by the amount of trash I produce, and I'm one of the most waste-conscious people I know.

I have never really been a waste-conscious person, but for the past 6 months I've been trying to improve. People think I'm some hippie tree-hugger now, but to me I'm just doing what I can to make the world an ity bit cleaner.

I always try to recycle what I can. I went to virginia 2 years ago and they don't recycle anything. It's disgusting. No one in the south does. Another reason to hate it.

a super easy thing to do if you buy bottled water, is to simply refill the bottles once you empty them. if you drink a lot of water youll be amazed by how much trash would actually have been produced if you didnt refill the bottles

Sigg bottles for the win

we should make custom NS sigg bottles!!! that would be so dope. we can start a whole movement of people using them, and they will tell everyone else and they will tell everyone else and bam, no more bottled water

just don't buy bottled water at all, it's one of the most wasteful and unnecessary products out there. There's free water from the tap anywhere, that hasn't been trucked hundreds or thousands of miles in disposable packaging.

Fun fact, it takes more than a liter of gas to transport a liter of Fiji water.
