So i went on a bike ride..

i've been on a mtn biking trail before, but the one i was on today, goes to the Top of our superpipe at Nubs, and it was sunny, cool, about 65, and GREEN as hell, and trees, and it was real relaxing,and tons of uphill, try it! Im not saying go out and buy a 3000 dollar bike, but im saying, just get out, its really nice

I race XC and it is a hell of a workout.  I get off the bike and can barely stand.  There are these races in Monterey and it's lots of rolling hills and there is a mile long smooth DH and I can hit 40-45, I'm riding in 3rd on the chainring, and 9th on the back wheel.  You feel great after the workout too.  Mountain biking will take you to amazing places and it is a hell of an adrenaline rush.  If you really want adrenaline, ride DH.  I went and raced at Northstar last summer and it was super fun.  I went to Mammoth and it was even more fun.  I hit 50 going down Kamikazee and it was so awesome.  It's a super technical sport and requires tons of balance and you use your whole body too.  I am looking forward to riding all over California this summer.

Neeedless to say,  i'm racing mountain bikes tomorrow up at sundance, UT.

it's pretty sweet being a pussy.

Mtb is amazing.  I bike every day for 15 minutes just messing around in a parking lot to a whole day at a bike park.  I really only got into freeride about 2 years ago, but I've always loved bikes.  hoping to start racing DH this summer, as long as my knee is heeled. 
I live about 18 miles from highlands mtbp in NH, ride DH at Mt Snow, and maintain and ride my own trails in southern Vt.  If anyone bikes at any of these places or is interested in helping me build, shoot me a pm.

And if you don't know, then you know know.  Two planks in winter, two wheels in summer.

wow man that is some nice pics.  what kind of bike you riding???  i was actually thinking of buying a road bike but that looks soo fun i might get a downhill or aka a downhill bike now....

Nice. I'm just getting into XC and even duathelons but have been dicking around with BMX, dirt jumping and some DH forever. What do you ride?

If you read the article it says what I was riding. Those guys were riding specialized p2 and hardrock pro and some others.

This year is going to be my 4th season of DH. Such a sport to get into, I'd recommend it to anyone. I still feel just as pumped to ride now, as I did when I just started. There is nothing quite as adrenaline pumping as blasting a rock garden at 25km, or sending a fatty booter for the first time. Ride bikes, they're FUCKIN SICK
