Spoiled west skiers

ha west skiers dont know how good they have it. theyy get the pow, bigger mountains, ski later in the year, less crowded etc. east skiers might as well put on ice skates, theres lil mountains, huge lines, and season ends soooo early

This kid skis okemo and is bitching? I would kill to have a mountain as nice as okemo and a season that long shut the fuck up and be happy with what you have, or move out west its that simple.

my hill has 6 lifts, 3 for the bunny slopes, one for the park.
every weekend, we have the entire washington DC metropolitan area skiing here.
all of them gapers.
i am talking THOUSANDS.
and the mountain is TINY.  like 10 runs.
it's disgustingly crowded.

yeah every weekend at smuggs there are millions of fucking racers from everywhere and they hog the t bar. but other than their park and all the racers smuggs is really legit

hahaha, Milton Keynes, where the season lasts for 3 hrs per week, and is the cost of a day's lift pass in a Euro resort.

i have been looking to move west but then when i really think about it we have it pretty good too, im 10min from smuggs about an hr or whatever from jay and bolton, and our season last just as long as most anywhere west  (except hood and abay etc) and the east has great tree skiing and park. and hiking after the mtns shut down for a little bit.  and theres always potential for taking trips in the winter or in the summer if you got money saved too.  ohh and we dont get nasty traffic problems like say CO (yes i lived there for two yrs, unfortunatly i didnt have money to ski alot, i loved the city but damn the highways suck during rush hr)

then come out to the west and ski bum. just not hood............ jk we are lucky, but think about how much it would suck to live in Louisianan for SIX YEARS like i did. the largest hill in the state was around 120 vt ft. and it was man made "so the children of nawleenz could know what a hill look like" quote on the plaque in front of said mound of dirt

If u can get to a mountain u should just be happy with it.  If u enjoy skiing enough it doesnt matter where u go.  Theres always somethin to jib if ur willing to look.

haha.  The farthest I will ever live to the East is Colorado.  I live in California and it is awesome.  I have some great ski areas, Yosemite is an hour away from me and it is amazing, great mountain biking, beach is 2 hours away from me.  I love living here.  I just wish I had more freestyle skiers at my mountain.

The eastcoasters don't know how good they have it... for real. Try living in the midwest.... we have 300 and 400 foot tall hills... shorter season than you, shittier parks, less snow, the list goes on...

I hardly ever see a thread from a midwesterner bitching about the shitty skiing they have to deal with, but I see threads from east coasters all the time... DEAL WITH IT. Everybody else does...

Exactly, be happy that you have a good mountain (okemo), that you money to buy skis, and that you don't have any injuries that keep you from going skiing. I'm sure that there's a lot of people that wish that they could go skiing, but they can't....

So be happy with what you have.
