skiing with snowboard gear on like tall tees with snowboard companys brands on it and snowboard brand pants or jackets. is that approved or noo?

i really dont care, i in fact own some bonfire pants and a burton jacket [i hardly wear the jacket tho] but i geuss the only time i really have a problem is when its has a massive ass logo on the front like most stuff. but i odnt have a problem with it, T-wall was wearing a burton suit in his super unknown

by all means hate on snowboarders, but don't hate on the brands. Some of the best ski brands, i.e. K2, Amplid, etc all make snowboards too, and no one would tell you not to buy their products.

I realise that skiing has LOADS of funny little idiosyncrasies and in-jokes, and things we just do because we're skiers, but i don't think boycotting snowboard-brand clothing is one of them.

I dont really care but think about it this way, you buy a burton suit, that money goes to snowboarding, none of it will go back into skiing. I can understand if your broke or whatever and its your only option but I'd rather give my money to a ski company and see that go back into the sport. Its funny how everyone dusnt care yet when they see a small shop like jibij go down its all OH NO!s yet they bought all their shit of backcountry. Not entirely the same, I know, as backcountry is ski related but you get the idea.

I think in this day and age you should put your money where you mouth is and be ethical and dont be like the other 99% of this society of hypocrites. No ones perfect but a little effort goes a small way.

Just my 2 cents.

Skiers should wear ski company's gear or companys that support the ski industry. When you buy snowboard gear your putting your skiing money into supporting snowboarding. If skiers bought ski stuff more Jiberish might still be open. If your a skier, by ski gear not snowboard gear.

Of course not because those brands put the money we spend back into our sport by sponsoring skiers, events, movies, contests, etc...

When you buy Burton or Ride or anything like that all the money you just spent is going to athletes who snowboard and snowboarding events. I mean its not like the snowboarding brands are any cheaper, so if your going to spend the all that money on something anyways why wouldn't you want to buy something that helps skiing.

i guess I'm just old now, back in the day skiers spent there money on skiing. Now they were huge shirts and say things like "ignant" and spend lots of time worrying about how they look coming off a rail. to each his own , i shouldnt say anything. Im glad im not part of that generation.

you are absolutely right, skiers definitely do not spend money on skis, bindings, boots and passes anymore we steal them because we are ignant.  to tell you the truth skiing has become bigger because of all this, by trying to look good one may purchase an extra outfit and many ski related t shirts.  I am glad you are part of this generation too... advertisement has one "d"

Totally, i guess its my own thing i shouldn't say much about others. I never had fun when there was a video camera around, everyone was to damn worried about how they looked and pushed the fun to the side. I guess i see it a different way, to each his own. Oh and when it comes to my avatar, at least its not a chick with cum on all over her face or some other stupid shit. Does it look like i spent allot of time on it 3 years ago? Your right about the skis and binders but outwear company's don't make that stuff and do you really want to give Shawn white more money?

steve stepp used to wear a burton ronin.    tom wallisch wore some kind of burton suit.    as long as it looks cool and doesnt say anything like snowboard>ski  then im for it

i had a full burton ak setup this year. the ak line is actually so quality. great waterproofing and great sizing. nice long jackets.

Why would anyone feel the need to buy snowboarders outerwear when there's so many great ski companies making outerwear ie: Armanda, Orage, Saga, and Sweet Protection. I'm sure theres more im forgetting.

Cause when you are in the store broke as fuck and you realized bonfire pants are $200 cheaper than saga pants and you then come to the conclusion that you'll probably grow next season so why spend the extra money anyway? That is why I have "snowboarding" pants. Yeah, when I am full grown I'll buy the nicest stuff but untill then I can't be spending that kind of money every year

Does it really matter?   Ski or Snowboard, we all ride the same mountain and ride the same park.   Ski outerwear really doesnt have as much style as snowboard stuff.   Style is a major factor and buying the freshest gear is essential.   Both sports influence each other, snowboarding helped lead skiing to where it is today and skiers push snowboarders to create bigger better tricks.  

Personally I have been influenced by Travis Rice as a skier, he made me interested in freestyle skiing more than any pro skier did.   We cant hate on snowboarders anymore, they helped create what the sport is today and create the flare on the mountain.

Even though it is incredibally annoying waiting for them to get all strapped in on top of the mountain.

NO its def not allowed, if seen wearing snowboard gear for example 686, Anon, RED helmets, or any other such gear you will promptly get a beat down from the nearest park skier.

its weird though....is it just me, or are the snowboarding companies making their stuff tighter these days and skiing companies making it super baggy. cause i see snowboarders all the time now in super tight snowpants and a medium sized jacket. just an observation

If a ski company makes what I'm looking for, then I'm going to try to buy from the ski brand. But if I can't find what I'm looking for, or if I'm just in a shop somewhere and I'd rather have that product at that moment, then I'm going to just buy a snowboard brand. I don't care in terms of looks/whatever, but I'd rather support a company that supports my fellow ski nigs.

just because some ppl care about how they look coming off a rail or just skiing in general and if there's a camera doesn't mean noone is having fun while doing it. If you think about it cameras and shit like that has progressed the sport and of course skiers amazing ability to kill it pretty much anywhere
