Big jump fear

ok so im a fairly new park skier.  i can do 5's with a variety of grabs, rails, boxes, etc. ill go off any jump but the thing is i wont do tricks off the bigger jumps. is there a trick to actually preparing yourself to do tricks off the 30 foot kickers that would help me in any way?

yea, go huge on the 30ft and overshoot the landing.
now when you do it on a big jump it'll feel so much better.

then when you start going to flat on the bigger jumps you wont be able to walk. good luck!

use the smaller kickers to get your technique PERFECT for a certain trick, Once you are comfortable, you'll know you could do it on a bigger kicker, and you will, and it will be beautiful. But just keep practicing a certain trick on a smaller kicker, then take it to a big one. Get a feel for the bigger kicker, then you can throw anything down on it.

ok. now to try to help u out...

1.try not to make a lot of new threads. try the search bar first.

2.dont start any stupid threads either. NS MODS is trying to get rid of them.

3.dont over shoot the jump. just work ur way up to the jump. start at 30's and get all trciks down on them. then go to a 40-50. straight air them as many times as you can, (just get used to them and the air time.

4.when u actually got the feel of the bigger jumps, start to reg 3 it. it will be a slower rotation. if then put a grabby into it. then pick it up form there. 5 it then 7 then 9. or w/e.

5.dont kill urself.    :)

1) making new threads is no beef unless they are stupid (i dont find this one to be too retarded)
2) mods dont just delete things because they are stupid

so try to not act like you know what your talking about ( i dont even know what im talking about on here 3/4 of the time...i just dont act like i do, because it makes you sound like a douche) just because people hate on people for not search bar-ing doesnt mean that he needs to fucking check it every time.

for some reason your post made me really angry, so im sorry for my incessant rage and unnecessary hate, but i just felt the need to do it.

Whats the fun of skiing if your not afraid. Just sack up and work yourself up to it if you can.  Also if you dont wear a helmet, wear one, itll give you some for confidence.

30 ft is huge when you never done anything like this before, don't be a dick. I'd say just get rock solid on straight airs, while getting solid spinng 3s on the little 10 and 15 footers
