According to the powers that be we're kind of stuck in that if more people use the NS video thing, the ads can be spread out across way more videos. In other words, if 100% of videos watched on ns.com were videos uploaded TO ns.com, the ad would show way less often (way below 50% of what they are at now). Until / unless that happens they have to stay there because otherwise there literally will not be newschoolers anymore.

this ad REALLY pissed me off, its the worst ad ever, its 31 seconds long, i usually dont end up watching a vid because i dont want to sit thru that bull shit, please talk that shit off

i've never felt so much hatred towards an ad.

to all the site staff: if this one can go, please remove it. or perhaps shorten it. its too frequent, too long, and too annoying.

i DO understand the revenues it generates for you however.

more than half the time I go to watch a video on ns, I get discouraged from the 25 second ad and click back before the real video even begins.

 maybe they could be a little shorter? 10 seconds would still be annoying but way more tolerable.

Ads are making it so I no longer watch any videos uploaded to newschoolers because of how long it takes. I'm now done uploading to newschoolers, i don't support this movement towards double pits to chesty

I hate the ad just as much as anyone else, but there could be a whole lot of worse ones.

NS needs to take this off, i to have stopped watching videos because of that stupid ad. its 30 seconds long and all i want to see is 15 second clip.


NS should just use a different advertisment like ANYTHING!!!!!!

i dont care if its advertising tampons as long as its not double pits to chesty

Yes the ad is annoying, but why complain when we're all getting this shit for free? Its not like EVERY SINGLE video has this same ad, most are short like the salomon ads, but seriously, if you have any respect for the site, just sit and watch a 30 second clip.. damn its like the world is going to end if you have to watch it again.

Believe me, I think its annoying as fuck, but read what the mods have said. NS needs cashflow somehow, and it honestly doesnt do anything besides take 30 seconds of your LIFE.

if anyone knows of some magical repository of ski companies lined up to give us large sums of money to advertise their products they should let Doug know. You have no idea how hard it is to sell online advertising. Sure some of the ads may not be your favorite or totally ski related but we're always stoked to be able to land a decently paying advertising campaign. We have bills to pay here. Trust us, we're doing the best we can to make enough money to keep giving you the site and content you guys enjoy for free!
