Anyone read it? I realize its coming out as a movie sometime this year but the book will most definitely be one trillion times better anyways.

Its good stuff! Im suppose to write 5, one page journals on it and I have a few ideas (letter stuck in boys jacket before man dies, survival in a post apocalyptic world, ect.) but I need a few more. Do you think you could come up with any ideas on what to write about?

i dunno... the insane bond that the boy has for his father. it shows how when little every thing your taught is followed 100 percent. thats what i would mos def right about.

i totally ment write. lets see what else... it seems like the father is kinda short with his kid not in an angry way but in a depressed, despair type of way, (you cant really see it til the end) but still tries to build hope for the kid.  the relationship is hard to see til the end

this would be easy too making the topic hope

the hope they have of finding.. what did they call it... the light? or the fire that good people carry.

Yea it was the fire that all good people in the world carried. These journals dont have to all have a theme though which is sick. Just relevent to the story. I really like my Post Apocalyptic Survial 101 idea and Im branching out on that. My "letter to whomever finds the kid" is pretty much a plea to not rape and eat the child, and after that I gots nothin.

i would go on eat... not rape.  thats a big question for sure. remember the guy who takes the kid is all wierded out by him.  it is a question i had too, is he gonna get eaten?

talk about the will to survive also from both spectrums - cannibalism and searching for a better way.

i was actually expecting a "need book report" thread, so so so happy to see that it was actually an intellectual, i read the book thread!

i thought it was super depressing and had trouble enjoying it, though i know that was the whole point of it.

the movie is coming out in october?
