Is it really the case that we all believe one man has the power to run our entire country to the ground? Can we perhaps be a bit more optimistic and have faith in ourselves to be able lift our country out of this mess regardless of whose in power?
I know the past eight years i'm guilty of being pissed off at the administration and thought pretty low of my country, was even somewhat embarrassed while abroad, but it didn't stop me from trying to portray my idea of what it is to be a good US citizen.
I realize that those in power don't stay in power indefinitely in our country, and that really, they are just the figure heads of our population, The real power of America and its power to change comes from the 300 million of us that live here, not the 536 federally elected officials or even 50 state elected officials. Bickering, complaining, and all this general negativity is just a waste of our energy necessary to upright our country.
So please lets work together on those objectives we all agree upon-- making and maintaining America's awesomeness and keep this common goal in mind when we reach points of fundamental disagreement.
