End sexism in contests

I had a great idea just now. Girls and guys skiing has been seperated in terms of skill for a long time. Something needs to be done to get it on the right track! Soooooooooo, END THE SEXISM! Instead of X-games girls and guys events, lets combine em! That way, for like, superpipe, no more girls and guys events, just one big ski superpipe event.

Obviously, the girls arent goingto be going as high or doing as great tricks, so something like a handicap would be imposed on the guys so that the girls have a real chance against Tanner. But wouldnt that be cool?!?! A girl could beat out Dumont for the overall pipe contest and we could show the rest of the world that our sport is the lone one where gender doesnt make a difference!

My reply is in no way intended to put women down, but here it is:

Although I understand your idea, it can't work. And I know that it would push women to do more things and whatnot, but in simple terms, it wouldn't work. Why you may ask? Because no matter how hard you may want to try, girls cannot and won't ever be in the same category as men. This isn't because they suck or anything like that, it's because they have two completely different body builds. A woman's body is different from a man's. It wouldn't be a 'fair' competition as you consider it, simply because they are two entirely different types of human. Men are naturally stronger than women. It's not up for debate, because it's a fact. And yes, I know that there are women out there who are way stronger than many men, but on AVERAGE, male athletes are stronger, and perform better than female athletes. Don't cut me up on this, because it's true.

So although I understand that there will always be controversy on having different categories for men and women, it's just what has to be done, as they are in two different categories of themselves.

So let's be realistic here. It can't happen normally because it wouldn't be fair. It can't happen with a handicap, because that would permanently skew all results, and lead to even more unfair competition and more upset crowds because some girl won "because of her handicap", etc etc...

I FORGOT TO SAY that i think it's significant that men never complain about not being in the same category as women are... even though technically they would win anyway.
i just think we (girls) look for things to complain about, it's idiotic. (and i am definitely no exception)

If girls competed with guys, they'd complain that it's not fair for one reason or another.
there is no way out of this one.

this is the dumbest thread i ever read through!

first off, if you asked a pro chick, if she would like to compete with the guys, and go from winning x games medals to not qualifying ever, i think they would want to keep it the way it is


the only way this dumb idea would work, would be if womans skiing was intergrated into the U14 boys catagory, literally, they would be at the same level, pro girls and U14 boys

If we end sexism in competitions, girls will NEVER win. They will become depressed, quit their jobs and move back into the house to take care of their children and us. Actually, fuck it, let them compete on an equal level. It's a win-win for us.
