Replying to Line Remote Pack (and other bags)

Im looking to buy a rather compact bag to use while skiing as well as for every day stuff, and was looking at the Line Remote pack. I think it looks kinda good, size seems okay (Im sure a 13" laptop will fit in it? thats a requirement). doesnt need a lot of other space tbh, some for a notebook and the powercord etc but thats it. ski holder straps are a big plus

one thing though is that most backpacks will have a waist strap and I was hoping to find one where you can take that out or hide it somehow. its unnecessary and looks kinda silly when not actually using or needing it. is this the case with the line remote pack ?

any tips would be well appreciated
