Replying to School troubles

OK so i am a sophomore in high school, i go to a really really good high school, its a tough school.  anyway progress reports came out today and my parents saw it and most the comments teachers put were like "Paul struggled in the begging of the quarter, he missed a few home-works but is improving in recent weeks" my parents saw this and freaked (granted i have had some trouble getting home work done) i was going to go to an extreme comp at Jay peak 2 weeks from now, but now im not.  im really pissed and dont know what to do.  i hope i can talk to me teachers and do really well for the next 2 weeks then get them so send my parents a email or somthing.  but im getting like Bs and B minuses.  i dont know what to do
