Lowering The Drinking Age To 18

I was watching 60 minutes the other day and the subject was about lowering the drinking age to 18. Their were a lot of different viewpoints on it and the people who wanted lowering the age defiantly had me persuaded that it would be a better to lower the age. Anyone else have their thoughts on why or why not the age for drinking should be lowered to 18?

That's true. It greatly reduces binge drinking and kids seem to be more mature about it in countries with lower ages.

it's not gonna change. those dirty gov. dildos are making way to much money handing out MIP charges to all the harmless underage drinkers like yourself, they love it... they love fucking with the youth way to much and that's why it will never change. At the age of 18 you can walk into a bar and legally kill every mother fucker in there with your government issue M-16, but you can't legally order a beer from that same bar.... that's how fucked up it is. they got ya right by the nuts. drink away, just don't get caught or you'll be throwin your money right in the piggy bank.

its definitely a matter of maturity. if you can handle yourself, then having some alcohol every now and then is fine. I'm 17, and i drink on occasion, but i can hold hella, and i'm a really nice drunk who gets along with everyone, and usually ends up helping my friends get home.
if you turn into a violent douchebag when you drink, then those people should have to wait until 21.
i realize there would be no way to enforce this at all, but thats just my two cents.
