Upload your videos directly to newschoolers...

In order for your video to make it onto the homepage and our new NSTV page the ONLY way to do this is if you upload it directly. No links, no vimeo, no youtube, just straight up NS.

Please post some feedback as to troubles you have so we can continue to improve this process and make it the best place on the internet for skiing videos!

so i upped a little rail edit and the quality is not bad, however the video size was lacking, and for some reason i couldnt use fullscreen wich was also a bummer. i like what nstv is becoming also

Doug, that's the big problem I have with the NS flash player... full screen doesn't work. I see the buttons there, but they don't really do anything. Sometimes after clicking a bunch of time the video goes into fullscreen mode but the video is actually smaller and the rest of the screen is taken up by dead black space. I'm running firefox 3.0.

I think we're actually going to replace that player.  We're testing a few of them right now.

what's the upload limit now? i saw bishop posted a 500 mb video but i'm assuming that's just because he has special powers.. i did see one that was more than 100 though...

when i tried to upload my waxing vid, i tired 4 times and it never worked, the file was 28 mb and it was .mp4 format

For some reason I have troubles uploading to NS.. It just says "uploading please wait" for as long as 3 days until I close it. The file I am uploading is 120 MB and .mov I am using Safari on Mac OSX..

same with me. it also takes foreverrrrr to load the videos. i don;t watch any ns ones, on vimeo because the ns take way to long

i completly agree. ads are annoying. most other sites with ads allow you to skip them. if you could skip them it wouldnt be a big problem and ns would still get paid.

Same, except the "Uploading Please Wait" box just disappears for mine!

My video is 268 megs, .MOV, and although it is 7 minutes long I didn't think time was a discerning factor...

FIX IT ZOMG PLEASEEEEE!!!1!lol1!

Idk why, but mine works fine every time. With about a 1/4 in border of dead black space.

I've had it work before with pictures and videos... It seems to work about 1 out of 10 times but lately the odds are getting worse. I will try Firefox sometime though.

yeah i tried pictures with Safari and they went on for hours but uploaded in a minute or two on firefox? weird haha
