Spk buckle break in half

went skiing yesterday morning and i noticed my boot wasn't completely tight, but we were gonna leave soon anyways so i didn't pay much attention to it. we get to the car and i role up my pants and this is what i found... this happen to anyone else? i haven't skied on the these boots for more than 5 days.

well i caught an edge on a box and took a digger, but didn't think it was that bad.. and its weird, the buckles are made of ceramic with just a super thin metal shell

I believe you can replace the buckle, but if not gorilla glue will hold it.

i would think that that is too much weight for glue.  was it really cold when u broke it off?  i would definatly think solly would warrenty that if the boots are not super old.

im quite sure theyre replaceable, i broke a buckle on my technicas last week, the shopguy replaced it in a minute, for free ;)

Gorilla glue can hold cement blocks together.  Glue is surprising man, wood glue is all that holds my entire entertainment center together.  Stronger that the natural bonds of wood.

i gorilla glued a piece of wood with a handle cut in it to a beam on the ceiling and hung from it, the stuff holds

BUT, with that low a surface area it might not hold as well

As for the buckle problem, go back to the shop you bought them from and if they are reputable at all they will take care of it for you asap one way or another, I know we would.

no it was actually pretty warm, like 16 and sunny. but yeah i called the shop today (i live like an hour away) and they said i'd have to bring it in for warranty and shit. I'm not too sure if the shop would be able to replace them cuz everything on that boot is a rivet instead of a bolt (stupid flaw by salomon) so i'm guessing they're gonna have to send them in. hopefully salomon is on their game and it doesn't take very long.

i'm gonna say in my opinion this whole full tilt madness is stupid, not everyone has a foot the width of a toothpick or has access or money for a good boot fitter.

with that said i went to the shop today they took a buckle from a new boot and put in on mine, pretty pumped that i was able to walk in and walk out no problem

that is sick...

And to all the people saying gorilla glue wouldn't hold it...The SA would be the only problem, but I think if you got it to stay, then did the area over the crack it would hold. They use gorilla glue in everything now, it is strong, if it doesn't mend what your are fixing, it is probably operators error.
