09/10 Line skis are F***** up

I went up the lift with some stranger who talked to me about next years Line skis ( he works for SIA). He told me Line has been developing this technology for almost years and it will blow your mind. He told me next season Line will have an eperimental ski, like the Alpha 1, (eperimental wise, not the same contrtuction at all) that is not conseructed vertically, but constructed like a skateboard. I'm not in expert in ski consruction, or skateboard, but when he said the had no sidewalls, I started to smell BS. He said that this new concept will give more tip and tail pop and flex, and will be lighter and better then normal skis. I think this guy is full of it, but he said they would be shown at the 2009 SIA, so I'll just have wait and see.
It blows my mind to think it's true

That's the thing. They aren't sidewalls. Sidewalls can get blown out because of a vertical force, and it's a separate part of the ski. But with this, it doesn't really seem like it's even possible to "blow out" anything.
This all speculation on my part from my limited understanding of physics, If there are no sidewalls, and more of the ski is one piece, line has essentially eliminated many possibilities of failure. Execution on line's part here is key.

They are made in china.

my bacons came with a "MADE IN CHINA" sticker on each of the tails
i just took them off and tried to forget.



they fucking rip tho so it doesnt even matter, and they are really high quality.

I think they are no new invaders and the afterbangs are replacing them instead. And the graphic is really ugly i think.

but they can still chip like crazy and have water seep into the core making the ski heavy as fuck.

It also means there is nothing to absorb impacts from the side, so instead of the side wall blowing out (which can be fixed) your core just gets fucked up (which can't be fixed.

and then next row:
prophet series, ep pro, bacon

im really not understanding the difference in size between the ep pro and the bacon.

actually, after the pandora, it looks like the blend instead of the elizabeth.
and top, after the invader, theres the chronic and the anthem.

I know those are the chronics for sure, im pumped theyre bringing back the mini. The 05 chronic minis were my first ski :D

The first ski in the first picture clearly has a metal layer, so celebrities and elizabeths arent correct.  my guess would be a sort of womens prophet?

I think its a sick idea but the only thing im worried about is if we are going to see the same snapping we do with skateboardes. For some reason i see this ski snapping very easy but im probably wrong.

Just to put everyone down. Here is the new line up that you see in the picture.

First Picture:
Celebrity, Chronic Min, Chronic Kryptonite, (New Ski I dont think I can say what it's called), and Anthem

Second Picture:
Prophet 90, Prophet 100, Mo'ship, Pandora, SFB.

There you go. The new ski is somewhat of an all around ski. There is no new Invader. The Afterbang will be replacing it.
