alright man going over the line there about baseball.  now i dont play hockey but yet i still have respect for it and dont call it gay.  just because you like to play hockey over baseball does not make it gay.  i would rather play baseball over hockey but yet you dont see me talking shit about the sport.

hahaha, baseball is one of the gayer sports, no ones just talking shit on it because they don't like to play it. How could you even begin to talk shit on hockey? Maybe the over sized goals compared to the size of the puck but that's about it. So in conclusion, baseball is gay.

Thats exactly it though- people who don't like baseball are just ignorant.  Either that, or they were terrible at it and jumped on the 'baseball is gay' bandwagon years ago.  Most of them have no clue about the game, or that it's generally the most difficult sport to make it big in in North America.  Hockey is a joke in the U.S., and you have no clue about baseball.  Hockey is just another un-original sport.  Look at soccer, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, hockey... they are all very similar and have the same dumb concepts.  So in conclusion, hockey is gay.

well excuse me for liking sports that require athletic ability
baseball consists of some hand-eye coordination, some fucker who can throw really hard and the occasional sprint every 20 minutes i dislike baseball because its damn BORING who wants to go sit and watch a "sport" that spends the whole time waiting for a pitch...its exciting for 15 seconds when there's a hit and then boring for another 20 minutes, watching any sport for over 2 hours just kills me
baseball is a lot like golf to me, yes it can be extremely difficult in some aspects but there isnt enough action or consistent play to keep me interested and fuck maybe 15% of the guys are in shape and the most rediculoud thing is that the fatter you are the harder and further you hit (see John Daly for golf and David Ortiz for baseball) any sport that spends the majority of the time in planning the strategy is not a sport but a passtime
in fact i really dislike watching sports on tv in general the majority is a bunch of dumbasses who get paid millions, i much prefer to watch live amateur level sports or compete myself

uh dude youre saying that we call baseball gay because we suck at it
but youre calling hockey gay because you suck at it....same thing
obviously the reason for the similarities between soccer, lacrosse, field hockey(which is the same sport on grass) and ice hockey is because people enjoy the concept behind each sport: score on the opposing team's goal and the action is relatively non stop (besides commercial breaks and half time or whatever)
i like rugby way more than american football because it has way more action and fewer, shorter stoppages in game play making it more entertaining and also requires more skill in tackling and ball handling

you're so wrong man, I'm not hating on it because I suck at it, I'm pretty sure I can stand upright with a big ass glove to help me catch the ball. I'm sure everyone hating on baseball has a clue as to how it works, it's not some secret sport. Actually I'd be willing to bet I could manage a MLB team the sport is so simple and structured, but I don't know if I would be comfortable with the racial undertones in the acronyms. It's definitely not the hardest sport to make it big in because of the farm teams, there are no basketball farm teams, no football farm teams. It's a nice little stepping stone for all the douche bags out there trying to stand around for a living. And the sports you compare hockey to are all a thousand times less gay than baseball. Baseball is such a joke it's pretty much only played in the US by good olde boys who only drive domestic trucks. I don't hate baseball, I'm just one of the masses that recognizes how gay it is.

I dont play baseball or watch it or follow it but insulting baseball is pretty svage considering its such a HUGE cultural part of America. And to say it takes no athletisism is bullshit, not everyone on the baseball team is a fat slob (just the dh). My buddy is at a draft camp for the dodgers right now, he trains like 5 days a week and is really fit and strong, and hes in the outfield.

But ya, no surprised about us kicking ass in the tourney, we do pretty much every year haha.

hockey requires not only ability with the stick and puck but also skating ability working the entire body
baseball involves a lot of upper body for throwing and hitting and then some leg strength for running
i am not insulting america or whatever your culture i just dont like baseball
and obviously if youre that good i would not be able to hit the ball just like you wouldnt stand a chance in hockey

Yo i used to play baseball for a long long long time. I just quit last year because it got so fucking boring but i sort of half to claim and say that i was a pretty good player and my team was damn good. we went to puerto rico and got second in a world series type thing and lots of other shit. But it is kind of ridiculous that people like you and lots of others try to make baseball sound so much harder than it is. I played competitive baseball for eight years and i can definatly say that it is not hard at all. Also, hockey is the only sport normal sport (basketball football soccer etc.) that i like to watch and play. That is all.

You two little girls whining about which sport is better sound pretty ridiculous given that this is a skiing forum... first of all, you both love the SAME sport, and second of all, that sport is one at which you could legitimately die in any number of ways... so that little "if I pitched to you you'd prolly fall down and cry" thing is laughable. There is nothing remotely frightening about baseball. Hockey, well, you could get a skate to the face or something, or get run through the glass by some 6 foot 7 d-man... but seriously, quit trying to sound so bad-ass. Baseball takes more skill than any other sport besides golf, and golf barely counts. Hockey, to quote Brendan Shanahan, takes the skill of baseball, the speed of basketball, the athleticism of socker, the power of football, and puts it all on a slippery surface. There's a reason people play these things: they don't suck. So cut out the internet pissing contest.

Its the fact that you don't play that you don't understand how hard it is.  Baseball is much more difficult than you think, theres so many thousands of possibilities in the game but its because you don't play as I mentioned before, and are ignorant that you don't understand it.  The good olde boys aren't the only ones who play, look at hockey, globally, nobody cares about the game.  You think the minor leagues are making it? Thats a big fucking joke, go look up how much money those guys make and reconsider your opinion.

globally more countries play hockey then baseball, just because its called a "world series" doesn't meen theirs more then one country that cares.

essentially baseball is only big in the states (maybe cuba and japan) but hockey is huge in canada, northern eurpoe, russia, and parts of central europe. so dont say that canadas the only one that cares.
