How cold do you guys think it has to be for you pass up skiing. I was suposed to go skiing to day but now my dad wont take me because he thinks -23 degrees celcius is too cold to go. im really pissed because i was really looking forward to go skiing today. Is there anything i could tell him to change his mind.
at my local mountain probably -5 with wind chill- my coldest ever though would be -10 no wing or -5 at stowe with 25 mph winds- soo like -25- skiing was epic tho-
coldest ive ever been in not skiing -20 snowmobling in the adirondaks
I have skied close to -40. It fucking sucked. We did night training once with a temp of like -35. I stop wanting to go out as soon as it's past like -20 unless there is fresh snow.
If it's whiteout, or really windy (with snowmaking) I don't go, period. But I can tolerate down to about -5F... Disclaimer: I'm from the South. Cold is pretty relative down here.
i think i have done -56 with windchill, I ski sugarloaf which is notorious for being cold and windy, so it doesn't bother me too much. The only time it sucks is when you are going up the lift
you guys are INSANE -40C is -104F were legit talking arctic temperatures here..... i live on the east coast and i'm pretty sure the mountain wouldn't even be open past like -20F
