Mount Snow's parks closed tomorrow.......

Please don't tell me this is true. I read the report on the website and I called the hotline. But, Carinthia_parks (the orange NS dude) said that once lifts were spinning again, they would open gulch, in this thread: https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/402566/

Anyone know anything? I mean, I went to stratton today and they had top-to-bottom skiing on multiple trails and both "parks" were open.

i swear to god those lifts better be running tomorrow i will be soo pissed off if they arent
and if they arent mt snow should consider having another pay your age day next sunday to make up for this
the ice storm fucked this over so bad

i was up there today..bad news.  the lifts will not be running tomorw and the parks will not be open. 

dont get mad at mt snow, the weather fucked them.  the ice is crazy up there right now, and its just bring trees down onto powerlines.  theyve been without power since like thursday

anyone know if mt snow is gonna have their lifts running tomorrow on the park trails. cause i dont think im gonna have school, so i def wanna try to get up there since my mountain is closed from the power outtages

i went today and it was probably the most fun day of the season so far. if your gonna go, be ready to hike. we hiked a shitload, whether it was grommet, the bottom 2 jumps on gulch, or the flat rail at the bottom of nitro. i'm extremely tired but it was so much fun. i learned some stuff too, which is good. plus it wasn't too crowded. i recommend it actually.

yeah if u dont mind hiking id definitely go, the lifts in the park were down today and i'd have to say they'll be down tomorrow as well

yeah homies, there is no power to the nitro, so its not like they can dew anything about it. mt snow staff's been on the grind trying to get all the shit fixed form the hell storm...but you've got to give them props for having shit groomed for hiking ability...respect mt snow...hopefully the lifts over at carinthia will get spinning again soon. and i hope my refrigerator up there has power, cause if my ham, cheese, bacon, eggs, hot dogs, and chicken fingers go bad, i'm going to be wicked bummed out.

Ill be there skiing by myself all week and Im in a house with one other girl...its right by the hill so if anyone wants to ski or drink beers or just kick it let me know, ill be pretty bored

just got back from doing top to bottom runs on the new park.  the new setup is super fun, and the bottom three jumps are big

new setup was fun, booters are pretty good size, 1st day of spring skiing under belt SOFT, VT roads were a mess, wires down everywhere, tree stumps all over and this is 5 days after the storm.  This storm destroyed southern vt

ya got real lucky wit the lifts today opening... hopefully everything will work out for the rest of the week.  had another power problem at the end of the day stranded a few people for alittle while. but the new jumps were pretty dope

ok so for those itching to hear the setup here it is


the same down bar that was originally up

the 1st jump, but built up better

real fun step up where the up box used to be

to 3 real fun rollers

to left side the little down bar with the kink, right side flat down rail

left trap box that was originally in, right a box that was also in but got moved down lower

to a hip/jump depending on how you hit it

a 40fter

a 45fter

and hopefully they'll have that summit quad open to service nitro mineshaft (which it looks like they will, knock on wood). i'll be there saturday!!!! yay CAST club! $35 tickets!
