Replying to Camera questions

looking to buy a new hd video camera. yes i searched barred for awhile, (asianallen i need u for these hv30 Q's) but i didnt seem find the answers i was looking for. hv30, is it stable for its weight during follows? would a mono pod for some weight help enough? i plan on using one alot anyways. can u get a handle attachment for the top accessory clip? and overall is it really the best bang for your buck as far as your secondary HD camera for a $1000 or less?
