Thizzle.Sounds like homeboy got raped. 13k for an exhaust, strut brace and a tune? Lol. A full audio setup (and I'm talking dynamat lining, custom box, subs, tweeters, 3 ways, mid range speaks, fully wired and installed) shouldn't run more than a couple grand.
casual.weekdayI told him he spent a little much but he blew me off. Had I gotten a new STI and put those upgrades in id be over $45k, so i didn't care how much he paid, I saved a few bucks.

casual.weekdayfull tank of gas, too.
saskskierHow many miles? I mean, up here in Canada, a 2 minute search shows me I can pick up a 2015 STI with 13k miles for $38k ($27k used) or one with 8k miles for $45k ($32k usd).
I can't imagine what kind of tune you're getting for $15k, but I really don't know much about tuning so I can't say too much. Seems like lots, but to each their own.
Thizzle.I feel it. Seems he realized he couldn't really afford it and cut his losses which was a good move.
Still not as bad as this kid in my hometown. Took out a FAT loan to buy a built 2012 STI, stage 2 turbo, ETS frontmount intercooler. new exhaust, full tune, other stuff I can't remember. pulling 370 WHP, but he's gonna be looking at 64k by the time he pays it off. Not to mention he doesn't know ANYTHING about car maintenance, didnt change the oil for 5k miles and now is 7k more in debt to rebuild the engine after he blew it up. Fucking 21 years old without a career 70k in debt.

Laurent.Remove those BBS's please and just slap on some Volvo R rims.
GaryColemanYeah they came with the car when i bought it. Its got the stock t5 wheels on it now with snow tires. Might get a set of pegs or volans in the spring since those bbs rub like a bitch.
I hope the dude with the STI is trolling, 1500 for a tune, lol
*simba*The hood rat.
DavinHeres my 08 gsr. I'm making 346whp and 342ftq on 28lbs. Mod list is AMS 3.5 intake, ets 3.5in fmic, ams uicp, blitz wastegate, ets hfc, speed circuit catback (no resi or mufflers), exedy stage 2 clutch, light flywheel. I'm putting in my Fortune Auto 500 coilovers in a week too!
Childstar.Do I spy baconfenders?
Former stance queen?

FUUUCK
installed the Thule rack and box, doesn't look terrible and holds all my skis!
Titus69White evo xs look sooo good. How's it handling in the snow?
FUUUCKbest word to describe it would be "intuitive". the amount of control you have going sideways is still blows my mind. it definitely gives you more confidence than anyone else on the road when it's snowy.

JakeSmithIs that a stuffed Simba in the passenger seat? Fuckin tight, man.
LonelyAnyone know where I could get a bull bar for an 04 (st) forester? I see them a lot but I can't find any for sale.
Also...how much of a difference will a catback really make. I'm finishing up my cosmetic things and want to start working on getting some more out of it.
Sti build maybe?
*simba*lol not quite
Titus69http://www.subaxtreme.com/
A catback really wont add much power, for a stock turbo car Id guess at most 15hp gain but you should do more, get a full exhaust, intake, get it tuned and get an accessport or something. Or just "stage 2 it bruh"
LonelyThanks
Yeah, have bigger turbo waiting, also have bigger intake, inter cooler, injectors coming. Catback is just a short term thing

lo-keyYo guys, I need some help
Looking at buying my first car soon ( been driving for a while now but just borrowing parents car ) and I'm having trouble finding the right one.
Looking for a car that is:
- A small-ish station wagon
- 4WD (not AWD)
- Super reliable
- good fuel economy
- low price ( looking to spend around 5k nzd at most, so I guess around 3.5k usd )
Been looking at Toyota Caribs cause they fit what I'm looking for perfectly, but they haven't been coming up for sale a lot recently so I sorta need more options to look for.
any recommendations?

crotchventThey have the hilux down there those seem pretty sweet.
Titus69If you have them there, a honda crv is perfect, you can find one for your price range. Get a manual one if you do, auto sucks. I can usually go 300-310 miles on a full tank of gas and I havent had any major issues yet.

Frostyif that's an ix I'm gonna have to go change my pants
jackdonovananyone know how much a 3 inch lift for a 2003 jeep sahara? or at least the price range? planning on lifting it, getting bigger tires, a grill guard and led lights
.MASSHOLE.Anywhere from $300-$2500 depending on how extensive a lift you want. I'm guessing you just want new shocks and coils at most? I imagine a jeep forum would be useful
lo-keyYea I've actually looked at those, they seem pretty cool. Can't drive a manual until August when I get my full licence bc I sat my restricted license in an auto :/
Hiluxs are fuckin great trucks but they're super pricey here for some reason, even the older ones
jackdonovanjust a suspension lift , doesnt really do much but lets you have bigger tires and makes the jeep look better, im at stock height right now
Frostyif that's an ix I'm gonna have to go change my pants
JakeSmithI think it is because of the fender flares if I remember correctly
If it's a manual then I'm gonna have to change my pants
Chubz. Are hiluxs like tacomas down under? Intersting looking truck
Ralph_SwaggumYeah I believe so. I think they might be a little bit beefier as well due to where they're sold.
MLBThey are a completely different truck. I think the only piece that they had in common was the frame, but I don't believe that's the case anymore.
The lux is the worlds truck. Most of them come with a turbo Diesel engine in a four door short bed configuration. They are AWESOME trucks and I wish they sold them in North America. Blows the Taco right out of the water.
