sorry for double post, but has anyone else self painted their wheels (/rims/whatever the fuck you want to call it)? I did it myself instead of getting new ones and i think it looks waay clean and is way less expensive.
^ plastidip hardly lasts long at all my brother did it to his wheels and they were chipping within weeks and then painted them and are still looking good
nice. he did it in december i believe and repainted in like april but chipped a lot through the winter. i recently painted my volvos wheels and its working fine
I just used engine enamel and its worked like a charm. No chips, no nothing. The hard part was mostly cleaning and sanding them, and i just put 2 primers and 2 coats plus a clear coat.
Picked myself up a winter beater today. $1100 with 190K. Only thing wrong with it is its loud as hell because the midpipe flange is rusted off. Still, nothing a spot weld and some furnace cement wont fix!
