Looking for a specific brand of cold air intake actually, and my dealers a bit of a fuck just dont really want to order from the states because shipping and customs are going to kill me.
if you live close enough to the border there are usually stores that will let you ship them stuff and they will hold it for you, that way you can just drive over and pick it up and drive back. saved like 500 when i bought my wheels doing that
would be like a 2 hour drive, I guess its worth it. how did you get past the border on the way back? wouldn't they wonder where you got 4 wheels from and make you pay customs anyways?
ya i declared them at the border and just paid the tax, i have heard about people installing them over in the states and just drive back, i dont think its worth the risk though. the only reason to do it is to avoid paying shipping
I just have a pretty cool dealer I guess. very friendly, not too bad of rape prices. after the service and friendliness I got from them I was more than happy to give them my business.
so im retarted and cant post pics. but i just bought my first ride today. 65' ford thunderbird. great condition, hard top, white. its beautiful. if you really care you can google it. but ya. legit.
depends on the CAI and the engine cover setup, some vw engines use the cover as part of the intake, and some CAI's require you to remove the cover and do some relocating of any sensors etc which could require extra work that can be a bitch if you arent 100% comfortable with working on your shit
Don't have any pics right now but I got an 07 grand cherokee with a V8 (unfortunately not the SRT8) just before the season started maybe in October I think
no way you would get 50 horses out a CAI. Even a properly installed and placed CAI will only give you minimal HP gains, and that's up around the 4000-5000 rpm range for most vehicles. They're played up too much.
The dealer I went to was good, they have solid mechanics, but I cant afford the markup so its not worth my business. Id rather find mechanics that used to work at a dealership and start their own shop.
If my car were turbo I'd be doing a downpipe first.... but its not soo no downpipe, next will defenitly be a rear sway bar, get that understeer a little bit more under control
Cant tell if serious, or just havent dyno'd car, so your saying that your intake adds 50 and your turbo adds 35 doesn't make sense. Which stage tune on the ECU?
The quickest Saab 900 off the line had 187 bhp, you said you have a chip, which dont actually give you performance, it is turboed, you're probably not running high boost or anything so maybe +80 hp at the wheels, you're making 220hp at the wheels tops
Nothing he has said about intakes, "chips," turbos, horsepower, or anything else in his previous few posts has been serious, but you and that other fucking idiot have been eating it up and trying to call him out for it. Go drive your piece of shit Acura into a lake.
Well, you can't tell because there are hundreds of kids who actually talk like that, you see them all the time, like my buddy "yeah i got a glasspack on my v6 mustang im pushing 250"...
1. Yes, there may be hundreds of kids who "talk like that," but if you had actually read his post and knew anything even remotely related to cars, you'd realize he was pretty obviously joking.
2. V6 Mustangs have ~300 HP at the crank these days
