Replying to Basketball..

alright so tryouts for my team are tonight and i don't want to play at all really but from what ive been told im pretty good at it and have made the team every year (im in 8th grade this year) and now that i have such a love and joy for skiing that nothing else can bring me i feel that i can't commit to basketball also. my parents want me to play and i already didn't do baseball this spring and theyd on't support me much in skiing.

so what im saying is how could i go about not making the team and do you think i should just not try in tryouts so i don't make it

and it is a new coach this year that im pretty sure has never seen any of us play
