I think the concept was good... give the ability for you to download the photo to your phone. Those with smartphones just grab any photo they want and throw it on their phone.
Those without sometimes purchase backgrounds for their phones from the cellphone company. I remember buying a picture of the sweedish chef for fucking $4 from Telus. It looked something like this.... (minus the text)
Hah so we found these dudes that allow us to pass an image onto the site to your cellphone. It costs you money, and seriously if you have the technology available, PLEASE take what you want and make it your phone background. We want you to do that, its the way the internet works!
BUT if you're like me, and you'll pay $4 for a stupid background, or some other bullshit on your phone, then grab a photo from NS and help contribute to the cause.
As for using it on the member photos, I think it might be better to add it to our photos first, and then see how it works. After that, we could figure out some way that it'd be awesome to run it with the rest of the photo gallery.
Its a new era that the photos on NS get so sick that we should all want them, love 'em and protect them so hard. Photos are actually the #1 busiest single part of this site... people love that shit.
Anyways... just trying to make the site better and feedback is KEY!
