Upload your videos to NS!

Hey guys!
Ok so we've been doing some tweaks on the new video section, and I think that it is really coming along. However there's one problem... you have to upload videos to it!
Many of the videos in our video section are hosted on Youtube, Vimeo and a myriad of other sources. Though I realise that in the past this was a good solution, its WAY better for you to put them straight on NS!
So please, help us test the video section, and upload directly to the site! Forget Youtube... keep it to skiing!

I have yet to have one video show up embedded in the new video section. Do you have to upload to NS in order to embed onto that screen? I always have to click a link to view video. Seems like the old way was better?

Explain a bit better what you mean... I'm confused!
You do have to upload the file to NS for it to embed into our system. You can post foreign embed code into the forums and it will add, but to be directly embedded into the video section you must upload, or provide a link to a video file.
We can't steal videos from Youtube without using embed code though, so those ones will stay as Youtube files.

I mean it does not embed onto the page, you have to click the link, and open a new window to watch the clip.

It will embed onto the page if you upload the file to the site.
Youtube and other things are external sources... those won't embed. You need to upload directly to NS then it will embed directly onto the page, this is the whole reason we updated the video section. We want video viewing to be easy and slick!

Yeah it'd be better if people started uploading their videos instead of posting youtube links. :)
But yeah... the idea here is to get you lost in ski videos.
