Alpine initiatives donation

So I saw that you can donate $10 to alpine initiatives in the store, and would get the contributor status equal to how many donations you make.

Just wondering if you just bought a contributor status the money would still go as a donation to alpine initiatives? And would that still be counted in the contest?

Didn't see a thread on this, but if there is one I'm sorry...

As far as I know all contributions until the end of their mission will be counted towards donations to the cause. And yes you will still get the appropriate symbol

To facilitate tracking it would be easier to buy it under the Alpine Initiatives instead of contributor status, but in the end they are both the same.
