So my roomate and best friend spent 16 years of his life in Cameroon, a small and very poor African country, where his parents built a hospital which is now run by the locals. I was reading about the economy as of now when I said "Man, I don't even know where to start with this." just to myself. He looked over, shook his head, and told me he was amazed at how big an uproar a low stock market was causing. He lived in a concrete block most of his life and he is extremely appreciative of every dollar he earns. I just thought it was wierd to think about our economy, in crisis, as 1,000 times better than his country's. I for one had an enlightening moment today and I am happy to say that I am extremely lucky. Pat the person next to you on the back, because if you are reading this you are probably lucky too. + Karma for everyone, I'm going to go eat the food I'm lucky to have.
