You would have to convince the US Forest service, also, that would be a crappy hike

Yea but usually when there is enough snow for all that the road is still closed. However, Maybe a 2 week camp in april. I don't know though. It would be hard to do all that and have weather work in you favor

^correct me if im wrong but the road usually doesnt open untill atleast memorial day depending on when all the snow melts out. the road is a good thing and i think your best bet of putting a camp in a safe location with minimal hiking would be in the area of the upper snow fields. it would be hard to convince them to let you do it but if it got approved it would deffinately go there. if you want more refrence on the snow fields to see exactally what kind of terrain it is and decide if it would work for a park would be to check out the born from ice bonus segments of mt washington in june. there was plenty of snow for rails but im not so sure about big jumps

i like the idea, but how would get the rails and shit there. and the road is at the top of the mountain which is like a mile from the top of tucks and then you would have to get the rails to the bottem, and how would you keep the people out cause in the spring there are like a thousand people there every day, but like i said its an idea

you could do it if you had a cat, since the road becomes a cat track in winter

Sounds like an east coast version of the ski camps on beartooth pass.
All times are Eastern (-5)
