Zoolander is just a popular movie to like in general.  It's "cool" to like Zoolander.  I mean it's a funny movie.  I enjoyed it.  But it gets really annoying after awhile when people quote movies to death.

 Like when you get to college, everyone's favorite movies are Boondock Saints, and Fight Club.  When you go to the bar, you drink Miller Light and Soco and Lime.

Every demographic has some cult icons that it associates itself with.

I'm not hating by any stretch of the imagination.  I'm just stating that Zoolander has achieved cult status.  And a large portion of males in the 16-24 age range associate with the movie on a consistent basis.  It's a funny movie.  But I think a lot of enjoy it, but they embrace the movie more or less because of it's status.  I mean it is cool and edgy.  Definitely one of the most original films in the last 10 years.  And I think thats what draws people to it.  Because it's something different.

The hand guy was talking about like how the fashion industry has been behind many political things, and he mentioned abraham lincoln becuase he freed the cheap slave labor and then he asks who do you think was behind that? And Derrick is like "Mugatu?" haha

But seriously I say lines from zoolander all the time.  Its not only a hilariously funny movie but it never gets old.  Unlike most movies the more I watch it the better it gets, you notice more stuff.  And the lines are so applicatible to things that happen like people always tell bad stories so "cool story hansel is perfect" or in class when a teacher asks a question that nobody answers "MUGATU?" haha. Such a good movie.  Haters suck.

And now the phrase "Cool story Hansel" is actually getting kinda popular in my school, I think by next year it will be popular all around.

i saw zoolander in theaters.  it was a great movie, and I've always liked it.  i like what I like, for example I think boondock saints sucked balls.  and miller light is one of the worst beers ever.  but who doesn't like soco?
