Dalbello Vs. Full Tilt

does anyone know what the major differences between these two boot brands are??? i know that they are both super flexible and are both similar to the old Raichle boots but which ones are favored among fellow newschoolers? I want your OPINION!

i've had the dalbello krypton pros and now have some full tilt model-a's

the dalbellos were much stiffer than the fts.  they were heavier, and they had a narrower fit.  However the dalbellos killed my feet and didn't work out, so now i have full tilts, which i love. they are a lot lighter, and have a smooth soft flex,

with the dalbellos, i got a lot more shinbang. i would just have a hard landing, not necessarily backseat and get some bad bang for the rest of the day.  In my fulltilts, i've landed pretty far backseat more than once and been pretty much fine

Ya. I ride on Flexons, which are the exact same thing as FT's.

And i rode Rampages before hand.

IMO, FT's fit a teeny bit wider, and are a more park-forgiving flex.

same idea with the cabrio design, but softer/smoother flexing. watch the video on full tilts website, its about as informative as you can get

Full tilts have alot more flex and very comfy but not as much support as diabellos

I had the dalbello kryptons and i will never choose dalbello again, they were uncomfortable, very stiff for me and they hurt soo bad.

It depends on what your looking for in a boot..

we sell the Full Tilts all day long, mostly to old people, because they know the history of the boot..
but now, the Full Tilts use Inuition foam liners, which has been being used by 32 snowboard boots for a while.. I'm sure you know, they are fully heat moldable, from the toe to the calf, and the cord system allows for a completely free flexing boot, where the Dalbello boot is a 3 piece boot, and they are super adjustable, and very awesome as well. The best selling Dalbello boot for us has been the Krypton Rampage, but this year, we sold quite a few il moro's.. the best selling Full Tilt boot has been the bumble bee pro.

My advice, would be to go to your nearest shop, and try them both on, because they are both absolutely great boots, but one is going to fit your foot better than the other.

good advice right here. both are awesome and very similar narrow boots, it just depends on which one will be best for you. just sort it out with your boot fitter and you'll be set.

i have been rocking a pair of rampages for the last 3 years. they started out being the most uncomfortable thing i ever put my foot in, i have a little wider feet and they were a little narrower. once i broke them in i could walk around with them on all day, i absolutely love them to death and unfortunately i did walk around in them too much and now the soles are all worn down and dont stay in bindings very well. but they were amazing boots, for me at least, i never got shinbang in them which is glorious. my old boots used to give me such bad shin bang i had to crawl up stairs...

There is a lot of bad information in this thread.

Full Tilts are NARROWER, not wider. Full TIlt has a 95mm last and Kryptons have a 98mm last. Both are still narrow boots.

Both boots are super customizable. You can't say that one is stiffer than the other because it all depends on how you set it up.

If you're wondering why the FT is superior, go to their website and watch the tech video. You'll be sold.

flex wise, they have the dalbellos beat. fit is a toss up because no two feet are the same. personally, i hate the intuition liners; i think they feel terrible on my feet, but i know some people love them. my biggest gripe with full tilts is the plastic buckles. for a boot that expensive, at least use a buckle that isnt going to explode if you clip a rail or a rock with it.

i have full tilt model a's. Sickest boots ever. I havent had shin bang at all since i got them. super flexy and soft.

I skied in kryptons for 4 seasons.  First I had some crosses the first season they came out and then I got into the rampages.  After 30 days I experienced horrible inner ankle pain.  I then took my old liner and created a custom liner. When I finally got into the rampage I had the same problem.  I stopped messing around and got a dalbello pro liner made by intuiton and that fixed my ankle problem but gave me bad shin splints.  Hands down, all mountain performance, whether you are skiing big mountain or bumps or park or just straight rippin, you can't beat the performance of the floating tougne technology that both dalbello and FT use, but I would recommend the FT over the Dalbellos at this point, and if you don't need a boot with great support, get an spk, they are soft as hell, ridiculously comfy, and super upright so they help eliminate shin bang/splints that occur from back seat landings in the park.

you do know you're supposed to bake intuitions...like thats the whole point/why people like them right???  its a custom liner.

also all the krypton riders should chime in on which tongue they used.  i'm all about the soft tongue (not sure if it's stiffer than the rampage tongue or the same thing).  i have never gotten bootbang in them.  my friend who rips harder than i do used the hard tongue and switch to the soft, and said he liked the soft better. 

booster straps + soft tongue = i haven't had bootbang in 2 years...

to the one complaining about the clips, you should email them your point of view in a politicaly correct text and they'll prolly be more then happy to have your opinion.

I really digthe whole full tilt boot conceptand the plastic buckles never broke on me when I was usign them.

ive got the flexon pros, dunno if they've changed it at all but ive blow like 4 of the 6 tracks that the clip slides and locks in. otherwise i love the boots, ive just suck a bunch of rivets in the track so it cant slide up, so its like a set tightness. anyone having this problem?

With my dalbello's i got the worst shinbang from backseat... so bad that the next day i coudnt even bend forward in my boot. However they are a sick boot and i would recommend them

ive been riding my rampages 2 years. (4 seasons) back to back winters. they are a sick boot, real comfy, good support for freeriding, sick park boot.they took a little while to break in, and they cold on real cold days. but i love em...
 im gonna get il moros next season i think...
