on my box rail im thinking about putting would down on the top then covering it in plexi glass i just wanted to know if there wer cheaper ways..?

Plexiglass will probably crack.  HDPE is your best bet, but it isn't cheap.  PVC pipes are also an option.  What is your budget?

i would not use plexi glass its kind of sticky and cracks eaisly, i use plastic pegboards like that you hang tools on. 2x4 sheets are like 15-20$ and it slides faster than HDPE and its like almost a half inch thick and already has holes in it so it's really easy to screw down

my dad owns a sign company and i have tried plexiglass (just a little sheet) and it doesn't even slide.  it is too soft and will scratch which means that you won't go fast.

Electrical pvc. its grey and wont shatter its also probably the cheapest
